location excellent , staff very friendly - only issue was the bar staff in the evening didn't seem able to prioritise and on Friday evening after waiting for about 30 minutes and others walking in and getting served we decided to leave and go elsewhere for a drink. Probably because we were just 2 people but this shouldn't happen

Very expensive for what you get m IMHO, junior suite and terrace nice but could have been cleaner in the nooks and crannies, tiny functional bathroom with no bath not great for an expensive suite, shower pressure and temp a bit iffy. Sofa bed not made up as specifically requested which was annoying but not a major issue.

Great location. Nice hotel public areas, cool vibe, comfy and modern junior suite with lovely views. Great attentive reception staff. Overall, enjoyable but not perfect….

Leisure centre could have been cleaner - particularly the floor around the pool area and the pool was too cold. The rooms were not very sound proof - could hear a lot of noise between rooms and the room was very hot - air con seemed to make no difference we would also have appreciated fresh milk in the fridge for coffee given the hotel standard.

Quirky hotel in a great location. Spacious and clean rooms with good hotel facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed a drink at the bar and the hotel was buzzing.

Everything. Although more options for eggs at breakfast would be great. Best location in Cambridge, walking distance to most colleges and great restaurants. Great view from rooms next to River Cam. Swimming pool is a bonus.

The children menu at the bar. The pasta with tomatoe sauce was spicy. Then we asked for a burger: it was burnt! The waiter did'nt make us pay for it and was very nice, and the day after the hotel did'nt make me pay the breakfast! Another thing : I forgot my computer charger in a drawer and call about that. They did'nt find it, they were supposed to call me back after but no news for the moment...

The truck loading laundry was outside our room making a lot of noise from around 7am. There were no signs in the hotel to get to the fitness centre which was a bit of a maze. The chromecast was unplugged in our room and took us a long time to work out this was why nothing was connecting. A housekeeper came at 10am to clean the room when we were still there, we left shortly after and came back at 8pm but the room hadn’t been cleaned (seemed it was only possible to do it in the morning which wouldn’t expect for the price of the stay).

The corridor where our room was located was very damp with a strong smell of mould. The wallpaper was either coming away from the walls or off completely. The walls uncovered by wallpaper were covered in black mould from floor to ceiling. This was not pleasant to look at or breathe in.

The bar was outrageously expensive (£15 for 2 pints of beers). A couple of things in the room weren’t working (shower screen wouldn’t close, weak toilet flush) which we told reception on check out who did not seem to care.

Great location for accessing Cambridge, the room was lovely and modern and the bed very comfortable.

It was 500 steps from our room to the front door. There was no lift from the car park entrance. Those who are frail or have mobility problems should make sure their room is close to the facilities. The room safe was in the floor which is an issue for anyone with knee problems.
