Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The hotel makes the most of its beautiful, quiet location, overlooking the river Cam. Very friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast, bar and restaurant all good, with views of the river.

United KingdomThe restaurant was not good with gluten free food. The menu had no indication of any gluten free food or if they could adapt any dishes. I asked a waitress and she immediately took the menu to the chefs (who were in hearing distance). The chefs had differing ideas about gluten free dishes. I have coeliac disease and I become extremely poorly if I digest gf food. After much discussion the waitress came back and I ordered. She then came back very apologetically and said that one of the chefs said that the dish I had chosen was not gf. I then chose a different meal and I have to say it really wasn’t good quality. The meat was tough and over cooked. However, my husband really enjoyed his dish. We will come back to the hotel but will not eat in the restaurant.
The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful hotel with a stunning garden overlooking the river. Our room was superb and immaculately clean. All staff were friendly and available at all times.

United KingdomWe had Mother's Day lunch in The Garden Room and while the service was friendly, it was not great. We waited over 20 minutes before our drink order was taken and that was only after I asked. We also waited over 20 minutes for our mains to be taken away and again that was only after I asked for the empty plates to be removed. We were not offered a dessert menu, so I paid and we left. It was a shame as the food was nice (when it arrived) and the restaurant is pretty.
Great location and friendly staff. The room was nice although the sofa bed was uncomfortable. I would have expected parking to be included in the room price, but it was very handy to have a large car park in central Cambridge to park in.

United Kingdombread at breakfast was really disappointing, cheap sliced bread unlike the rest of breakfast offer room was really cold when we checked in and took ages to warm up as controls were unintelligible as it was supposed to be a disabled room (but actually was in accessible) it had a tiny washbasin in the bathroom which meant the water went everywhere bed was very soft safe was really difficult to access

United KingdomOur balcony was disappointing as the floor was covered in green algae and had a discarded cigarette end on the floor. There was no chair, just an unattractive table. I appreciate it had rained a lot and was probably not used much due to the time of year, but it could have looked better and benefitted from a clean. Also, the bathroom tap had a very poor flow, although the shower was great. I was a bit disappointed that the car park charges have increased to £25 per day. I had booked for 3 nights plus had a second booking for one night for my daughters, so a discount would have been welcomed.
Fabulous location. Helpful staff. Coffee machine and fridge were a useful addition in the room. Comfy bed. Good pressure in the walk-in shower. We received a free upgrade, which was much appreciated. This was the first time we had stayed since the leisure facilities were built so very much enjoyed the pool and gym/virtual keep fit classes. The bar is attractively furnished and a relaxing and welcoming area with a lovely garden by the river. The garden was undergoing refurbishment, so it wasn't open, but I am sure it will be beautiful later on. Overall, we enjoyed our stay again. The little gift of chocolate and card was a thoughtful gesture as it was my birthday. 😊

It was a very nice hotel. I'd say it was also overpriced but apparently the location just makes it that expensive. If you just need a place to stay in Cambridge - choose something else. If you want to impress your partner with the location and the hotel - this one is great It is within walking distance from most (if not all) attractions in Cambridge city
