Whilst I wouldn't have been happy if this hotel was my 'holiday destination' hotel, it was ideal for what it is.

The hotel was perfect for my overnight business stay. The room was as expected with bed, television and en-suite facilities and the bar was showing the Liverpool vs Chelsea game which was a bonus

The hotel didn’t know I brought my spouse despite the fact I selected two people on the booking?? Minor inconvenience.

I asked for a cot bed and it was confirmed that I would be getting one and was given a toddler bed. Which led to my toddler frustrated all night and not been able to get a comfortable sleep at all.

Room due to downpour was leaking on the window, plus you could hear the motorway noise, seemed draughty at times due to the weather.

Staff were very welcoming and was really a comfortable bed. Room was spacious excellent value for the money. Breakfast to die for excellent.

The standard of breakfast has deteriorated so much. Cold hard bacon, lukewarm sausage. No cornflakes, no Allen, no cheese six slices of wafer thin garlic sausage. This is not good enough for £10.00. All the ingredients were cheap catering packs. I usually stay here six times a year. Never again. No Steak on dinner menu. What a disgrace

Fire alarm went off in Friday night not that it’s an issue these things are there for a reason there was no explaining what was happening, freezing outside no offer of blankets as I had a 6 month old and 37 weeks pregnant and partner had a 4 year old to hold in the cold, previously hotels have had things to keep people warm why you wait, explained what to do and where to go no one in reception when we come down the stairs. Then upon return to the hotel when all clear we returned to our room to resettle baby and someone knocks the door comes in looks around and said our room was showing on the board, said no smoking to us which may I add none of us smoke. We have a baby in the room and I’m pregnant and left nothing else said.

Perfect location for family we need to visit. Always clean and tidy on arrival and welcomed well.

Quite dated, cleanliness , could've done with more milk in the room , some staff were brilliant others not so.

Breakfast was OK could've had more choice of eggs. Coffee machine broke.

the restaurant was just about ok food was hot and well cooked and presented however there was only around six main courses and on both night items was not available, first night Fish and the second night steak, they also advertise English, Irish, Scottish breakfast well that's not so i have lived in all 3 country's and there was breakfast from those areas, first day no eggs on display however after the waiters and waiter had finished their conversation they did offer scrambled or fried eggs, this is not what it advertises on the booking page. there was ham and cheese on display with breakfast goods however none appealed to me due to the look. because of the hotel location there was a Toby near by so i went for breakfast there on the second day.

it is a value hotel however it could be a great value hotel if they made sure the rooms had been cleaned correctly, floors not hovered surfaces not clean anti bacterial fluid not filled plenty of staff around however there seemed to be nobody in charge directing staff, or checking on the cleaning, really that's what let the public areas and the rooms down, what toped it was all you could smell in the evening was someone on the first floor smoking cannabises.
