The room was dark we needed the light on during the day.

My request for a room near reception or a lift was arranged. Breakfast on both mornings was excellent and staff work really hard to ensure your happy.

The only thing we didn't enjoy the breakfast. Cheap sausage not nice bacon massive amount all cooked together so was cold .must say the staff did us poached eggs on toast and they were fantastic so all forgiven

I was waiting for my partner at the rear exit door as he had gone back to car and a chap was coming in with a bike, "he said I need to come in" I said come in then, he tutted, sighed and shook his head at me, I asked why he tutted and he ignored me. There was quite clearly plenty of room for him to get past me. I did mention this to the lady who was covering reception at the time, I actually think he may have been the chef. There was clearly no need for him to be rude to a guest at the hotel.

Good location as we like it a little quieter, the hotel has limited parking but we managed to get a space. Check in was very easy and even better our room was ready at 11am when we arrived. Great sized room with a sea view, plenty of storage space, comfy bed with extra pillows if needed (which we did) fabulous shower which was very much needs after a very long walk. We made a reservation and ate in the restaurant, the waiting staff were great as was the food. The hotel had entertainment on which was good and we really enjoyed the evening.

Friendly and peaceful. We loved being the only guests in the whole hotel on our first night. Great breakfast selection and personal service from Claire was fantastic.loved the Xmas decorations in reception. Super comfy bed - all you could want.

Breakfast was OK, staff failed to point out the location of the cereals, bacon was barely cooked. Breakfast layout could therefore, be improved.

Family room may have been a bit too tight for our number, sofa bed made it difficult to move around the room. The hotel has a retro style which is probably not so negative.

A very pleasant experience, food is nice, helpful staff, room is comfy and clean. Bar is open till late with a gig going on adding a nice vibe to the place. Location is at a reasonable distance from city centre, tram station right across with 10 min commute. Would definitely stay there again.

Sofa bed when out was a bit cramped in room but hardly I'm room so not an issue

There was a noisy fan/extractor outside bedroom window which would switch off and on through the night.

Ruby on Reception was so lovely! She was welcoming and had a big smile! The Carousel is good value for money!

The staff was all friendly, warm welcome. Location, was great just out of the centre, tram stop across the road. Free parking outside the hotel or in hotel carpark. Breakfast was excellent. Alittle gem of a hotel a great find.

Convenient location, easy access for the tram but nice and quiet being a bit further away from main attractions. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Room was clean and contained all we needed to be comfortable on our one night stay. Great breakfast too!

Nothing to put here. I liked everything.

The room was more spacious than i thought it would be and the breakfast was excellent. Also the ease of getting back in hotel on Saturday night as some hotels lock doors
