The member of staff on Saturday night was rude. Lots of tools left around and tripped over the protective flooring getting in and out of the building to the car park. Only 50% of the drinks on draft were available.

It was close to were we needed to be. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff available for check in on Friday night and breakfast on Saturday were very helpful. The breakfast was really good.

The room got too hot and we had to figure out how to turn off the radiator. There was no staff around late at night.

The location was convenient to the airport. The restaurant was attractive and had good food. If you enjoy walking there are country roads through expansive fields out the back of the lodging.

It is aged, tired, grubby, smelly. When you look outside your room I Window you should not see mess that you would sweep up were it your own property. If this property was simply deep cleaner, redecorated and someone was tasked with sweeping up outside it would be transformed.

The bar and restaurant look appealing and are right on the main road to my next day’s meeting.

Fawlty towers was alive and well in the restaurant. So many things made it almost funny. They were out of a lot more than Waldorfs. We were booked in for a second night after a long day of competition but decided that a long drive home was preferable to another episode.

The quality of the evening meal menu at the restaurant we felt wasn't value for the cost and wait. We were also a large party where the courses were coming out piecemeal. Fortunately we had an early sitting so that everyone managed to eat at a sensible time. Perhaps for future, that the kitchen organisation tries to plan for large parties ordering at the same time.

Renovations were taking place and so the entrance area was devoid of carpets etc. Our room had dried paint flakes on the bathroom floor. We went to the attached pub to eat on the first evening, Staff were very inattentive and took quite a while to notice that we were waiting to be seated. The menu was very limited and poorly printed, a customer at an adjoining table said her meal was very poor quality. They had no beer, draught or bottled, just Carling or Guinness. We paid for our drinks and went to a much nicer restaurant a mile down the road for all our meals.

It was a comfortable room and the hotel was well situated.

Breakfast was okay, seemed a little overpriced for a full English. Shame there was only instant coffee left out. No plug sockets by the bed for charging phones etc sounds silly but it’s nice to have one so you can still use it.

The choice of available food was limited and the quality poor. Many of the cold buffet items weren't available and the hot food was very greasy and not as good as a Premier Inn, which charges less for breakfast and is far better quality.
