For us, there was nothing we didn't like.

This was our second visit to Castle Nook, and once again we could find no fault with the property. It is handy for the centre of Kelso, there is parking close by, the property was clean and well looked after.

entrance doors at the street level and the property were a bit stiff and had to use quite a bit of force to get them open/shut.

The only issue we had was with the front door, which is very stiff and needed a good shoulder barge to get in. I would expect this would be difficult for any elderly or frail visitors.

The flat is really spacious, more than enough space for three of us with a room each. Double rooms, two of which are really big spaces (ideal for my colleague who likes to do yoga every morning). The living room was comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. Comfy beds, nice hot shower. In a great location, with handy parking just near to the property. We will definitely return if the flat is still available next year.

An excellent stay in wonderful accommodation. Received detailed information before arriving regarding location, parking etc. A cot bed and highchair were fully set up for us on arrival. The apartment has been decorated to a stunning standard. We all ended up saying at some point how we would love to live somewhere like this! We wouldn't hesitate to book again if we are in the area in the future. A truly lovely apartment and fantastic hosts.

Everything, huge, 3 double rooms, comfy beds, excellent showers, lovely lounge and kitchen. Couldn't fault anything about this place. Everyone loved it. Location was great, cosy and heated throughout. Absolutely recommend.

Be aware that to get to the lovely upstairs bedroom is via a slightly scary staircase for anyone with mobility challenges or fear of spiral stairs. But it’s got its own bathroom for those who can.

Utterly beautiful and amazingly equipped - kitchen had dishwasher, we even found baking paper! Exquisitely decorated and super clean. Comfortable and extra heater in lounge for those like me who feel the cold. And excellent shower. We’d definitely return as a base for exploring borders and beyond.

Would have liked more bedroom mirrors for hair drying! Little side tables in the lounge would be good for drinks. A much larger fridge freezer!! Stairs to upstairs room definitely need concentration!!

Only thing I would mention is the stairs to the upstairs/loft bedroom are quite steep and theres no door at the top. It didn't impact us at all as youngest is 5 but may not be suitable for toddlers.

Brilliant place to stay. Went with family for my partners birthday and it had everything we needed. Really clean and comfortable and everything was within easy walking distance. Would definitely stay again.

The stairs to the top bed room were quite tricky and slippery (in sock) but bare feet were fine. Would be useful to have a mirror in the top bed room other than the bathroom mirror to allow someone to use straignters without having to go down stairs to use a mirror down there. Very minor and more of a preference.

It was spacious, clean and perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) and great location to the town.
