I did not like the stairs to the upper bed room, we all found then difficult to navigate they felt very uneasy when using them. It would be better if it had a door to that room (maybe not possible due to lay out) as those who slept up there were disturbed by others using the kitchen.

We liked almost everything about our stay. the place was exceptionally clean and the hosts were very accommodating they let us park two cars on their land. I could not find fault at all with the property apart from see below. I would definitely stay here again and i would also recommend to others.

You could hear some traffic noise when in the bedroom as the apartment is on a main road but it didn't affect us too much.

Excellent location very close to restaurants and pubs. The spacious apartment was beautifully furnished. Everything you would need was there. Really enjoyed our stay. Simon even provided a photo of where to park the car. If we return to Kelso would definately stay again.

A great stay in The Scottish Borders.

The small negative is in no way a reflection on the property nor the owners but situated on a corner of one of the main thoroughfares in Kelso, traffic noise (particularly of vehicles on the Kelso cobbles) may be a distraction for some people. The noise is really only evident in the bedroom when the rest of the house is quiet.

Considering that this property was booked last minute and was to a degree 'Hobson's choice', it was superb. Travelling down from a race meeting at Musselburgh to the Carlisle area, in order to continue our mini break, the choice available to us was very limited. The spacious property in Kelso was relatively expensive (for just two of us) but we had no choice. However, when we arrived we were delighted with what we found. Admittedly the cost reflected the fact that there were three double bedrooms, two superb en-suite shower rooms, a fabulous kitchen fitted out with everything that you could have wanted for a self-catering stay and a very comfortable lounge. Communication with the owner was superb throughout and the additional offer of a private parking space was much appreciated. Despite the cost we would definitely stay here again if travelling in the Scottish Borders. Additionally, Kelso is beautiful and there is a lot to do in the area.

    Nothing, everything was absolutely perfect!

Before we arrived I received a message with all the details we would need for parking and gaining entry to the apartment. You have to go up one flight of stairs to gain entry and once in the apartment we were taken aback at how spacious the place is. It’s beautifully decorated throughout and absolutely spotless. There’s everything you need to make your stay comfortable and you could easily spend one to two weeks here as a base for exploring the Scottish Border towns and countryside. There’s 3 double bedrooms, one en-suite on the top level. The two bathrooms are immaculate, with fabulous shower stalls in each. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils etc, everything you need to cook a meal and there’s a good range of cups, glasses, plates and bowls to eat and drink from. The whole place has been put together with excellent taste but still feels very comfortable. Thanks so much Simon and Julie for allowing us to stay in your apartment, we all agreed that we would definitely stay again should we return to the area.

The property is located on a corner adjacent to a roundabout. Traffic noise might be a problem for some although it did not disturb us.

The property is in an excellent location with shops, restaurants etc. within a few minutes walk. Everything was provided to make our stay comfortable and convenient and the apartment is exceptionally clean and in excellent decorative order. There was ample free parking across the road.

It was not made evident that to access the apartment you had to climb a stairs. Also not at all keen on the very unusual floating stairs leading to the third bedroom. think they are a bit unsafe and only felt safe in my bare feet going up them. #Also the stairs were in the Kitchen, which which was very strange and there was no door to the bedroom, the whole are was open to the kitchen. Also no mirror up there, so you had to go downstairs and into the lounge to dry your hair.

Quite a quirky apartment, but nicely furnished and comfortable with good beds, and modern bathrooms with good showers. Location as very quiet and easy to get to, two minute walk into the town square.

Not so much didn't like ..more if I had known I might chosen elsewhere. A steep staircase into the flat which is fair enough when your on the first floor however, had this been specified I might have gone elsewhere only because I have a knee injury and my husband has a back injury and having to carry lots of bags etc was a bit of an issue due to this. The attic bedroom was lovely, but again, steep stairs to access it; we didn't use this room, but even our friends said the steps were pretty steep. These are not criticisms but something to be aware of if you have injuries or problems with steep stairs. The downstairs loo window needs fixed. Once we figured out how to close it, we couldn't reopen There is a surcharge for dogs even though booking.com mentions pet friendly. However, as it happens, one of my friends took ill and couldn't come, so no furry friends on this trip, booking.com should maybe mention the surcharge, though.

Very lovely decor, everything you could possibly need, comfy beds, warm and inviting. Excellent facilities. Good location, nice pub near by with fab food; Cobblers. Free parking for one car and plenty free parking near by. Nice location, plenty of shops, both leisure and convenience.
