Wi fi not working, front entrance closed, so entry to hotel was at the rear, via the carpark, was given a basement room, so very noisy during the stay at all hours due to guests having to use this entrance. Room itself was just makeshift, no window, thin plasterboard walls, heard everything.

Breakfast limited and sitting around so was cold. Green exit light above bedroom door was too bright and kept us awake.

Couldn't open any windows in room Breakfast ended at 9.15 far too early in fact we missed it but was still brought a plate of food not very nice!

the degradation of the hotel inside and out I lived in Eastbourne a few years ago and the Cavandish was a good hotel, my son had is prom there. The front door of the hotel not in use .The main entrance is at back through the car park. Should have both options. The reception are is ok .The corridors and stairs are dirty and have not been hovered for a few days I would say.

The view, When I booked the room it said it didn't have a window, when I arrived they gave me a room with a window facing the sea, which was very good.

Some of the things that come with age for an old building. Finishing and detailing was a bit shabby but had been maintained.

Fantastic view of the sea. Large room. Comfortable bed. Reasonably fast WiFi (£7 24hrs). Quiet. Polite and friendly staff, felt welcomed.

The receptionist Ushia was not helpful she looks unhappy always I’ve been here 7 times and I have to pay £15 more to change my room as I can’t breath on the room without window hence I have been booking ur hotel for the past 7 consecutive weekends I was asking kindly if I can be transferred for free but not given a chance . She even needs to be trained how to smile to your guests . My colleagues have experienced the same , this particular staff was not helpful at all..

The heating. When the staff is asked about the heating as the room is cold-they say they don’t control it as another company does. This doesn’t solve the issue. And if it is another company-they should so something about it.Im not the only one-there’s also a lady who is complaining about the heating.Same answer.Last time-the answer was the heating is time controlled and it will only turn on at 11pm!!

The location is very near to seafront and town.

    no particular dislikes.

I believe the Cavendish Hotel is undergoing renovation as the main entrances to the reception and cafe were closed and the only access was at the rear of the hotel along a very narrow passageway with no proper signage. I used this hotel as I only needed a one night stay i.e. bed and breakfast and the price was within my budget and the facilities were adequate.
