This guest house was amazing and the standard of the cleanliness was on another level… and with the touches to detail.. this was one of the best hotels I have stayed in for a very long time.

Wow what can I say, we had an amazing time. Stayed in the windermere room. Everything was perfect, from the greeting,the room was out of this world plus a lovely breakfast in the morning. Would highly recommend this hotel, just a 8 minute walk into town. will definitely stay again when we visit the lakes

The Cedar Manor was exceptional, the room more than exceeded expectation and had everything we needed and more. The staff were very friendly, parking was easy and the food absolutely delightful and of a five star standard. Would definitely be back and for a longer stay.

An absolute dream of a building, gorgeously decorated and attention to detail impeccable. lovely owners who were very welcoming. A gem of a place to wind down and relax and treat yourself to one of the best afternoon teas the lakes has to offer!

Did not dislike anything

It’s beautifully decorated and maintained and surrounded by a gorgeous garden. There is parking onsite but the train station and Windermere are within walking distance. The couple who run it tend to your every need from drinks and high tea in the sitting room to restaurant recommendations to sight seeing options. Lovely, comfortable, nicely decorated rooms with comfy beds, windows that can be opened and showers with good pressure.

Everything about the property was just outstanding, to the beautiful gardens outside to the gorgeous rooms inside it was the perfect place for us to relax and unwind after our wedding. The owners were so friendly and helpful, they had even left rose petals on the bed and a bottle of fizz for us on arrival as it was our mini moon.

Most importantly the bed was extremely comfortable. Restaurants were only a 10 min walk away down a path by the church. (Recommend "Hooked" fish restaurant.) Breakfast at Cedar Manor was very good with lots of choice. All in all, a perfect place to stay for a short break.

Bathroom was what it said on the booking

Lovely place but gutted we never got the room that we booked with booking . Com . The hosts said it was the same value but on Web site. We booked four poster bed with spa bath . Got half poster bed with I bath I couldn't relax in .. taps one end plug the other .... but was still lovely . X
