Front rooms on road side are noisy and there is no air conditioning so you cannot close the window.

The stairs down to the dining room were quite narrow and steep.

*There was no shelf in the bathroom for toiletries and toilet bag. I did not know where to put things. I think the addition of a shelf or small vanity unit in the bathroom should be a priority. The shower gel container is too high on the wall. It cannot be reached once you are sitting in the bath. *At breakfast it would be good to have proper, thick cut marmalade not just golden shred which is too sweet and similar to jam and not like good strong marmalade. Also, perhaps porridge? *Occasionally, I could smell cigarette smoke in my room. I thought this was getting in around the fire escape door. I reported this to the staff who, I am pleased to say, followed it up and asked the guest in a neighbouring room to refrain from smoking on the escape route. Perhaps a non smoking notice on the outside of the door might prevent this in future. * An easy chair in the bedroom would add to the comfort.

The breakfast was very good and the service excellent All the staff were pleasant and helpful. An iron, ironing board and hair dryer were all provided in the room, very useful. The location for me was particularly good as I was in Cambridge to attend a drawing class at the Botanic Gardens. It was also walking distance from the station. I did not require buses or taxis.

The shower pressure could have been better but we did have an attic room. One room had a bath when a decent shower would have been preferable

Room 214 on first night was very noisy as it’s on the main road so I couldn’t sleep unless the traffic stopped.

Very accomodating , friendly staff. Spacious, quiet room 215 , on second night. Excellent staff at breakfast and enjoyed breakfast very much. Excellent cleanliness and proximity to station and centre.

Stayed with my daughter for a nice catch up as she’s at university in Cambridge . Unfortunately there were workmen out the back working on a building, was hoping for a lie in my comfy bed but the noise was too much , obviously hotel wasn’t to blame for this , just unfortunate for us

Excellent hotel. Clean,comfortable and home from home feel to it. Facilities really good , carparking safe and secure and location very good for walking in to Cambridge. Overall a very pleasant stay and would recommend.

The only thing I didn't like was that the man behind reception in the evening told me off for taking the key to my room out with me. I didn't realise I was meant to hand it back in whenever I left the hotel, but I didn't appreciate a telling off.

The room was very clean and perfect for my work stay. Breakfast was great with lots of options and it was served quickly, which is good for getting to the office on time. Location was a few minutes from work so that was a bonus.

Choice at breakfast a bit limited. Would like more choice of musli, fruit, yoghurt etc The location was next to a very busy road and is the reason I probably won't stay there again. The beds were too hard for my comfort/preference.

Small hotel located 15 minutes walk from downtown Cambridge. The room was well appointed but on the small side for a "deluxe" room. The parking is convenient. Good breakfast.
