Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

ChinaIt’s a bit wet and cold in the winter but host provides a dehumidifier that works well.
The location is super convenient, there are 3 buses going to the city center and only takes 10 minutes. It’s very well decorated the ceilings are very high, plenty of room. Kitchen is very well equipped. Host is always available and very nice. Would love to come back!

GermanyThe apartment is really nice. It has a interesting and smart layout, was clean and has modern and new furnishings in a modern style, so you also can spend some comfortable time if not being in the city. In the kitchen you can find everything to prepare some food. The check-in was easy and the staff was really helpful with some questions so we had an absolutely good time in Liverpool.

IrelandMy only real complaint is that the smaller bedroom, which I was in, was surprisingly chilly. It was also very narrow compared to the other room. Some kind of light by the bed would be nice. Other than that, a basin would be useful for the washing up.
Tastefully decorated, excellent facilities (widescreen TV, chilled water, shower with multiple jets, any number of cooking implements), and impeccably clean. The host always answered messages promptly and would check in periodically to make sure everything was alright. Excellent value considering you're getting a private 2-bedroom setup (and one of the beds is a double)! The location is ideal - the same bus that gets you to and from the airport can get you in and out of city centre, and the stop is right outside the door. A suburban area, so not great for restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance, but there's a corner shop about 3 minutes away that does basic groceries.

Isle of ManI would suggest two very minor improvements: 1. The exterior lacked kerb appeal and all that was needed was the lawns and hedges trimming 2. Bedside lights would have been appreciated in the bedrooms
Interior of the property was excellent with lots of small, personal touches that made it feel like home. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for hanging and storing clothes. Fabulous kitchen with everything you would need. The bathroom was lovely with a really good shower.

United KingdomThe property was cold when we went back on the Saturday night it was very late when we got back . So we tried phoning the host on the Sunday but got no reply from the host. So was freezing which made the stay uncomfortable.
It was pleasant . The apartment was big enough for the 2 of us.

The code to collect the keys had been changed. However after 2 phone calls I got the updated code. I wasn't able to adjust the heating. There was just 1 bath towel for a 4 night stay. A spare should have been available.

United KingdomThere was not internet when we arrived although this was rectified on the day. The television was in a different language so we could not access any channels. It would have been nice to have a manual or some basic instructions how to operate the cooker and oven. Only because I have a gas appliance at home.
The location was great close to shops and bars.
