It would be nice if they served dinner on Sunday evenings and if the bar was open later.

Our room (34) was not good. Toilet extremely dirty when we arrived, reported to reception and promptly dealt with. Room in general was not good, very dated, very worn, numerous bulbs out.

The hotel smelled of fly spray which was really strong. I would not eat an evening meal here again as the quality was poor but breakfast was lovely.

Beautiful setting on river by the bridge.. great for walk either way..15 mins to Llangollen on towpath outside hotel . Meals in the lovely restaurant great views over River. Parking was down to luck of a space but cd drop case off and park down hill at Pavilion reasonably. 5 mins walk from town.

No wifi except on ground floor. Loose tiles on bathroom floor Lack of instructions on how to use the spa bath Plants on windows in bar were all dying from lack of water and a storage chest on our balcony was fully of dead plants? The plants outside the hotel were lovely and new so maybe they hadn't got round to sorting the rest?

Leaving the keys when we went out. It was dark when we got back and we had to put a code in the door to get in. We couldn't see the door codes as lighting was poor. Luckily another guest let us in. There was no night porter around as promised with our key. It was just left on chair when you got through the door. Anyone could of used it. Also patio door was broken to our balcony, it wouldn't lock for the 2 days we were there.

The hotel, staff, food and views were all excellent.

We would love to return for another 2 nights, maybe 3, in September or October, and bring our e-bikes with us, so we can cycle the canal towpath. But unfortunately the hotel currently has no space to accommodate two bikes, and bringing them up to our room is not practical. All that would be needed is an accessible space approx 7ft x 3ft with access to an electric socket, in a downstairs cupboard or store room. These days, in our experience, most hotels are happy and able to provide this. We urge the management of the Chainbridge to consider doing so. If they are not able to, then sadly and reluctantly we will have to book elsewhere.

The location is fabulous, our balcony room was perfect, the bed very comfortable, the food was great, the staff friendly and helpful.

The room needed a mirror near a socket to be able to use a hair dryer, there was only a mirror in the bathroom and no socket . The bar closed at 9 pm maybe because we stayed midweek maybe at weekend it’s busier ?

Breakfast was very good location is excellent and very beautiful. The hotel is very welcoming and comfortable.

The chefs smoking at the back door, it didn’t bother me but if I owned this hotel there would be no chance of that happening, I would expect it will put people off so I would find a solution to that.

No specific dislikes. Prefer walk-in showers rather than shower within a bath - but not a deal breaker. Mattress springs were pronounced, but slept well. WiFi improvements are ongoing

Wifi connection didn't quite extend to my hotel room. TV channels are a bit limited on the TV. The option to use streaming services was impossible because of a lack of internet connection.

The bed was comfortable and I had a brilliant nights sleep. The staff were friendly, easy to talk to and knew how to provide a great service. The setting is spectacular being nestled in between a river and a canal with the railway just above. Finally, the food at both dinner time and breakfast was fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
