The stairs are not great for little ones but you would know that by the photos. Nothing we didn't like really.

Some may consider the 5 minute walk to the long stay car park a little off putting which at £9 a day (currently) i didn't think was that bad, this would not put me off from staying at Anstey cottage in the future.

Very comfortable, quirky and central location. We use this weekend to Christmas shop and the cottage was in a great location to the town centre shops , restaurants and bars all within a short walk even for my 81 year old mother. Everything you needed in the cottage for the weekend but could quite easily use this as a base for longer periods if you are wanting to explore the surrounding area of Taunton. A very warm homely feel to the cottage and the owner contacted us throughout the time we spent there to make sure our stay was relaxing and enjoyable.

Very comfortable cottage has everything you need for your stay fully equipped kitchen & living area is very cozy . Communication from host was excellent to get into the cottage would definitely highly recommend staying here.

The entrance to the property was through a door then a small alleyway full of bins (rubbish)and a pigeon when you could have entered through a gate into the garden . The shower button was not working so you either had to keep your finger on it or we wedged a bit of paper to keep it going .

Nice quiet property but in a good central location. Well maintained and with a homely feel. A real hidden gem ideal for a couple of friends or a small family.

Couldn’t have a proper shower until 2 days after we arrived due to there being a fault with the on/off button, this put a dampener on the whole weekend and it wasn’t a cheap weekend, we like to shower twice a day.

The stairs are a cosy focal point in the lounge but do need care when using them. Shower users may prefer a stronger shower. However, overall the cottage has many positives.

Anstey Cottage is an excellent location for visiting Taunton and its surrounding countryside, and is located close to shops, supermarket, eateries and Somerset cricket ground. It is also just a 10 minute walk to the Taunton Exam Centre and train station. The cottage has a hidden and friendly air, and has all the items needed for an easy stay.

Struggled with heating, maybe our technological deficiencies. Could have done with tea cups with handles.

Would cost very little to ensure there were a few more added extras to make the stay more comfortable - we ended up buying a cafetière from a charity shop and borrowing extra mugs from family in Taunton. Bigger pans too would have been useful as we were a family of 4.
