There was no staff to check us in when we arrived. After waiting 20 minutes I phoned the number for the hotel and only then did a member of staff appear. My e mail said I had a room with a sea view. That didn't happen. I was in a small double room with no view. I had also paid for breakfast and when I arrived I was informed they did not do breakfast. They confirmed I had paid an extra 26 pounds for breakfast for 4 of us and I still have not had a refund!!! Again there were no staff members upon check out to ask about the refund. Service and advertising needs improving for this hotel

It was very cold, the radiator didn’t seem to work. The bed was really uncomfortable and also there was no shower attachment linked to the bath. The room and the property in general needs some tlc.

It’s close to the beach, arcades and pier. Prime location with everything in walking distance! We also had the sea view room so we got a balcony which was lovely. The hotel itself was quite quiet and peaceful.

really disappointed, does not meet the standard of a 3 star. advertised as double with sea view and bath and seating area, no bath, view of scaffolding on neighboring hotel, no seating area. very small, dingy room, dirty walls and window, broken curtains and blinds, dirty cups, cracked shower fitting, poor quality bed, mismatch flat pillow. needed total overhaul. no one in reception to talk to and same on check out all closed. contemplated sleeping in the car!

Found the staff when there wasn’t very helpful, places it’s self needs a refurbishment as window in the room was cracked and door on stairs window broken and also water on the window ledge resulting in toilet roll soaked.

Trash was found thoughout the room, along with hair in the bathtub. There were handprints on the wall above the bed. Cigarettes lined the balcony, even though signs on the wall stated that it was a no smoking room. The sheets on the bed started turning orange after a damp hat was placed on the bed (we had gotten caught in the rain) not sure if that was a chemical reaction from the cleaning products, but it was unsettling. There was water damage on the ceiling, and what appeared to be stains from smoking along the walls, and there was a brown stain on one of the chair cushions. All of these factors led to us sleeping on top of the blankets rather than tucked in. Lastly, our last three days of the trip, the hotel lobby and our bathroom smelled like there was a gas leak.

Size of the room and ocean view was great! Soap and towels were provided. Coffee and tea as well as a kettle, spoon, and cups were provided as well.

This place Needs a major update! had water leaking through the ceiling from the rain it made the bed soaking. Reception closed. Awful parking facilities car didn’t feel safe, the place just feels dirty. The curtains fell off as soon as i opened them, i Didn’t expect much from this place to be honest, Wanted a cheap little last minute get away. We Will never stay there again or stay in Skegness ever again in my entire life time. No nice places to have a normal dinner its all grease grease and more grease. Absolutely horrendous.

The property is tired and needs a lot of TLC. However, the price reflected the conditions. I wouldn’t want to stay more than a couple of days but as a cheap bed for the night and a shower it is acceptable, just.

No lift/bar or restaurant open only booked for lift facilities due to have mobility issues. Bathroom flooring uneven lino no shower curtain no bath mat hot tap on sink loose and moved in your hand curtain in bed room hanging off door to room did not close properly and on top pillows smelt fusty also big iron burn in carpet

The room. The hotel hasn’t been renovated for like 60 years, but it does need some maintenance. Broken tiles on the wall, broken shower door, shower tray, crack on the ceiling, heater was not working - which is fine in September - but the window handle was missing so couldn’t shut the window for the night and it was freezing and windy! Very very uncomfortable bed. ( At least change the mattresses if you’re not willing to spend more money on your hotel!) Noisy, you could hear everything from the corridor. Previous guests’ stuff left in the drawer. I believe it’s still there.. Cold tap needs fixing as it is loose and moves around. You see lovely photos of spacious rooms with french windows overlooking the sea, and sofa with coffee table in front of the window, and you end up having a hole overlooking a wall and with a terrible bed in it. No option to pay extra for seaview or better room, even if you send them a message requesting sea view.. I would recommend booking another hotel when you go to Skegness.

I don't like giving bad reviews but honestly it was hurrendous, it was unclean, hair found in the sink on the floor in the shower, a stain on a towel that could only be described as someone wiping their finger after going to the toilet, broken lamp in the cupboard made of glass, windows filthy, absolutely no staff about, no restaurant or bar open, on a bank holiday weekend! I didn't bother having a shower because I couldn't get over the dirt all around the tray. It smelt damp and unkept, I put the clean towels over the pillows as they smelt stale too. Tea and coffee making facilities but no spoon and no milk. You couldn't see the tv from the bed you had to be stood up to view the picture.

Asked for a clean cup as mine was dirty but wasn't changed Door had holes in Bathroom had some form of wires hanging out above shower the divan base to then bed had a massive gap and the bed was on a tilt due to the floor uneven also had people above room arguing shouting swearing felt un easy staying there come to check out shutter was down and couldn't even speak to anyone to complain

There was no shower as advertised & not enough water to even run a bath. Windows were broken, they didn’t shut or lock properly. Curtains didn’t cover the windows & there was a spotlight right outside our window along with street lights. There was 2 single beds pushed together which were totally different heights so for a couple as we were not ideal. The wardrobe only had one door & no hangers. The staff were basically non existent gave us our key told us upstairs & left us to figure it out on our own & on leaving we was chased down the corridor by a guy who we’d not seen for our key. Definitely won’t be going back.

Generally hotel looks a bit worn both in public areas and in the room. (Note: The Bar and Restaurant were both closed due to Covid when I was there). Window covering (blinds and curtains) in my room were rather tired looking and had to be adjusted to keep out light at night (it can be quite bright at the front). Some noise from the road (for room at the front) and other guests arriving/leaving but this was very brief and not an issue.

Friendly staff at check-in. Very large room with comfortable bed. Ample tea\coffee making facilities. Shower was hot. TV worked. My room was at the front so you could just about see the sea. Good price. Functional - had the essentials.
