How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Much more spacious than I had imagined with lots of natural light. Very quiet and very clean. Ideally located for Snape Maltings. Tea, coffee and milk provided and a couple of extra treats. Lovely touch to have a personal note from the hosts too. Communication was great in the lead-up to check-in too. Really helpful to know that I was able to check in a little earlier than the advertised time. Although I didn't cook in the property, looked well set-up for self-catering. All the information I needed for heating, hot water etc. provided too.

The only let down was the seating in the lounge. It was a futon that doubled as a sofa but upholstery quite thin and not very comfortable. Additional memory foam cushioning would sort it.
host had left us milk in the fridge and a home made fruit cake for our arrival. Very well equipped, comfortable, spotlessly clean. Great location for the Suffolk cost, Snape and Aldeburgh.

Given the space, nothing.
We were pleasantly surprised by the thought that had gone into facilities in a 1 bedroom flat. It was great for an event we were attending in Little Glemham.

The toilet takes a very long time to refill (surprisingly as there is excellent water pressure in the apartment)
It is a lovely apartment within easy walking distance of pubs, walks around the area and lots of wildlife. The host was very friendly and left us milk, cafetière coffee and a lovely fruit cake. Good facilities for self catering. Excellent shower, huge thick towels and a comfortable bed.

what's not to like? maybe could have done with cushions on the dining chairs, a medium sized kitchen knife and definitely a small chest of drawers in the bedroom, but really, not much to find fault with at all.

The mattress could have been a bit better. Took me a while to find the chopping board as it was on top of the microwave which is the same colour! I also couldn't work out how to play one of the music CDs (but I should have asked...)
Lovely peaceful and convenient location. Beautiful walking countryside. Delicious fruit cake left by the host. Everything I needed was there.

Lovely comfortable little place - well located for visiting Snape maltings for concerts. Rural setting so great place to walk and very good views of countryside. Good storage with lots of places to put things. Lovely to find a freshly cooked cake on arrival. Its was very good too.

The only thing I can think off, was that there weren't many tv channels that worked. However there were loads of dvds to keep us entertained.
This property was absolutely brilliant. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, and Linda even left us milk and cake on our arrival. The bed is very comfortable, the shower is amazing and it is a very short walk to two lovely pubs and Snape Maltings. The wifi is great too. Make sure you read the instruction Linda sends properly and save it on your phone. I hadn't read it properly and there was no signal, so our taxi driver had a hard time finding the place.

Nothing really; it was all good.
Very good location; peaceful; only heard the owls at night. But also very convenient for getting on the main roads. Ideal location for Snape Maltings, Aldeburgh, etc. The electric heaters were so efficient and warmed the flat through very quickly when we came in. And the homemade cake was a lovely surprise; just the job when you come back after a busy day sight-seeing!

The LED on the fire alarm in the bedroom lighting the darkness of the night, but I know it has to be there!
The bed was the most comfortable experienced in my life. Just right after a day of walking. The fruit cake also welcome. Location very convenient for a short mini tour of the Suffolk Coast highlights.

Nothing really it suited us very well, we'd certainly stay again. If we were being really picky a couple extra tumbler glasses as the ones we used went in the dishwasher after use!
The hosts left an amazing cake and were very helpful with everything we asked about. The flat was clean and well equipped with everything needed for a short stay.

Further from Snape Maltings than I realised and I decided it was safer to go there by car.
Excellent location for my weekend at a local festival. Comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchen and some food was provided which I was not expecting.
