NOT a criticism. Rather stupidly I did not investigate if there were any rooms with a walk-in shower facility.......We both have great difficulty in getting into a bath. (Only have walk-in at home).

No wrong doing of the hotel but had a group of young kids running up and down the passage late at night making a hell of a noise.

All in all a fantastic place to stay that is in a great location. The rooms were really nice and spacious and the staff were very friendly. Great value for money.

Small shallow pool very busy kiddie session which was lovely for them but my 14yr old probably should have been allowed into the pool later.

The pool staff could have been more accommodating and helpful given there was a miscommunication between themselves and the main hotel with no fault of the guests.

Most of the staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The rooms, grounds and restaurant were lovely. The reception staff and duty manger Norbert were great and so helpful.

Bar could have stayed open longer as it seemed to shut at 10pm! Not a huge issue but there were plenty of people around so just felt like it would have been good to be available a bit longer but appreciate staff need to get home too.

I was travelling for work so this was a lovely hotel to stay in even though it is clearly a wedding/conference venue in terms of size and feel. Staff were very helpful and the facilities were great. Room was adequate for a couple of nights although the shower/bathroom was a little dated but no issues at all.

Our stay here was lovely! We had a deluxe king room which included only a couple extra bits such as a mini fridge. The bed was really comfy we both slept well. Breakfast which is served in the river room (to get there you have to go through the first bar area) was lovely, a good selection of hot and cold food, we went at a quieter time about 8:30am and there were no queues. Overall really enjoyed breakfast however there was a better selection on the first morning rather than the second. We had dinner in the terrace end bar the first night, the pizza was delicious! Drinks are very expensive though which was abit rubbish. We had dinner in the river room the second night, which again was lovely but they were out of quite a few things before dinner service even begin, which let it down slightly since there is already a limited menu. We used both the gym and pool, the gym is quite small but has abit of everything in and the pool was good while it was quiet! The thing they don’t tell you is you have to get a key fob from the leisure reception bit to be able to use the pool and gym. Overall great stay, we would definitely return.

The weather, but I don't blame the Chesford Grange staff for that :-)

I arrived quite early, having arranged to meet a friend before checking in. However, the receptionist said that my room was already free and that I could check in. I appreciated being able to get unpacked and freshened up before meeting my friend. It felt far less rushed. I also liked being able to stroll in the lovely grounds before breakfast. All of the staff I interacted with were friendly and professional.

The facilities were good but starting to look a little tired in places, the game room could do with some renewed energy.

A good hotel in the right location for us to visit family over Christmas. Parking was easy and there were enough spaces to accommodate a rather full hotel. Cleaning staff were very help and friendly.

Evening meal in the bar area was completely opposite from what we thought with the high standard of the hotel it was over priced particularly the Caesar salad which was a real let down just lettuce basically was a really shame !

Lovely comfortable hotel welcoming reception and great room, lovely bar area and dog friendly. Really enjoyed our stay! Great breakfast lots to choose from but unfortunately our family meal was not good at all which let the hotel down.

Heating in the room could have been more effective. The creme brulee was not creme brulee but an invention of the Chef. Still got charged for creme brulee. .
