The decor was exceptional and good attention to detail. The laundry smelt amazing and the sheets were very soft.

Really minor things: the bulbs in the lamps in the back bedroom were not working(really not that important). The blinds in the bedrooms need to be black out or have curtains. We were all wide awake at first light. ( This needs to be rectified). A mattress topper in the front bedroom would've made the bed perfect( but I am very fussy as I have disc displacement). I can see a great deal of time has been put into the property and if these things were sorted, it would make it the perfect place to stay for a short visit.

The location is quiet and private. The few neighbours we saw were friendly and helpful. We liked the accommodation. It was spotlessly clean and the decor was modern and gorgeous. We only stayed for one night and we could've turned up with nothing except the clothes on our backs and food as everything was provided. Even down to some sachets of milk. Soap, shampoo, washing up liquid: everything had been thought of. A few minor things (detailed below) which, if rectified, I would definatley stay again and highly recommend.

Only some very tiny things we'd like to feedback...the shape of the plates and bowls made it really difficult to balance on the draining board, maybe an extra teatowel in the kitchen would be handy and the toilet is ever so slightly too close to the wall (which isn't really an issue if you're a bit smaller). However, none of this was a big issue for a long weekend stay (and I'm being super nit-picky).

After hours of searching for somewhere that 4 adults could share, we stumbled across Chester's Retreat. It has 2 identical double bedrooms and the beds were very comfy. The bathroom has a lovely big shower. We really liked the decor. The kitchen was well equipped with a microwave and toaster. The space has been really well thought about and being able to bring our dog was a huge selling point for this chalet. We also found it was well sound proofed from inside and outside noise. Overall, a really enjoyable stay and we would highly recommend.

Why only 3 large mugs in a 4 berth chalet? A few smaller mugs or cups would have been good. Also, there were lots of cleaning materials, but no washing up liquid!

Super little chalet. Clean and warm, with stylish touches. Felt quite rural being on the edge of the park. Nice to have a proper walk-in shower.

To the owners: You may want to revise your directions as in the listing you have noted this property to be at 94 Waveney Valley. However, Chester's Retreat is actually at 96 Waveney Valley and is in a different block of chalets to number 94. Fortunately, as it has a sign marking it at Chester's Retreat, we were able to identify the correct property. Property is a little walk away from where you have to park the car - so if you have a lot of bags, you will need to make 2 or 3 trips between your vehicle and property. It was relatively quiet when we were there, however I can image in the summer months that the car park is full & you may have trouble finding a space. There is no secure area for the dog at the property & it isn't really a "garden", just a shared piece of grassland. So sadly, we couldn't have the French doors open, without having the dog on the lead - although this wasn't a huge problem for a one-night stay, it would be more tiresome for a longer stay. As in good weather it would be nice to sit at the front of the property on the patio furniture provided. Fortunately, as we had a 10am check-out time, we were up when the neighbour started his very loud motorbike at 8.30am.

The property was very well presented, clean & tidy. We only stayed one night and the property was more than sufficient for our requirements. Good comfortable beds. Easy to collect keys from lock box sited at the property. Good directions to get to the property. Lovely views across the Estuary when you took the path at the back of the car park / field and out towards the quay-side area.

We didn't enjoy the 100-yard walk from the car park to the chalet. It was a real slog carrying all our luggage, but it wasn't mentioned until after we had booked. The holiday park that the chalet is situated in has a "barracks" feel to it, although it was tidy and the grass was mown. The outside dining area was 2 metal chairs and a table on the footpath just outside the patio doors. (No patio, though).

The chalet was very clean and tidy. Unfortunately, someone had been smoking in the bedroom, and it really did stink. The kitchen was good but more cutlery is needed. We liked the walk-in shower. The bed was really comfortable if a little low. The TV was good and had a good selection of channels available. The owners have added some nice decorations and furnishings to make it homely

The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. It was very dirty under the sofa cushions. The towels were little bigger than hand towels. The location was remote. The shower took a while to heat. Compared to other properties in the area where we had stayed the preceding nights it was expensive.

It was quite clean. Pets are allowed.
