Very minor point: there was no phone reception in my room, so I had a couple of missed calls and texts, but there was wifi and the phone reception outside was fine, so it was was not a big issue.

Breakfast was delicious with Richard's own honey, home-made jam and local eggs. He was even able to offer decaff tea :) The bed was very comfortable with lovely bedding. The road by the cottage was very quiet so I had an excellent night's sleep. Richard was a great host all round, thank you.

Just a warning for those who are taller, there are low beams, but it’s part of the lovely character of the old cottage. Also it is on a fairly main road, but we didn’t notice too much traffic noise overnight, and it was quite helpful for getting to places more directly.

This was a lovely little B&B, with the main bedroom and the bathroom in an extension to the older part of the cottage. Comfy and warm, with a great host who was happy to share his local knowledge and made a lovely breakfast.

Things could have been cleaner. Due to things being overgrown it was difficult to initially 'spot' the cottage.

The host Richard was a lovely man. The twin room was very comfortable. A lovely breakfast served with his own honey and jam made from products from Richard's home grown produce. The Sun Inn, just down the road, was excellent! We had the steak and it was absolutely devine!

Phone signal in the area was very poor as was 4g … Parking is minimal

This is almost a cottage in the woods , the gentleman who owns the house is very friendly and accommodating . Breakfast was good , certainly enough to start your day . Although no pub operational in the village there was a very nice one just a couple of miles away by a River so nice location . Internet access was good enough to do what I needed to do

Struggling to think of anything, honestly!

It's a charming cottage with a quiet, comfortable double room and ensuite bathroom. Richard, the host, was very affable, interesting, accommodating and knowledgeable about the local area. Breakfast was simple but delicious. WiFi was efficient, too! And only fifteen minutes to Hay...

Given the location, difficult to think of any improvements. An extra bedside lamp for reading in bed would be a bonus.

Our host Richard was very welcoming and attentive to our needs. Breakfast was very good and the home produced honey and fresh croissants excellent, as was the poached egg. We enjoyed Richard's willingness to chat.

    Nothing obvious.

The location was nice although it does not look that inviting on first arriving. However, the reason for this is that the owner loves nature so the garden could look a little unkept but do NOT be put off by this. Very pleasant stay and the owner could not do enough to please.

The breakfast was served in the quiet cosy room. It is rare to get 1) a perfectly cooked poached egg on wholemeal bread 2) real tea (leaves) that actually tastes great 3) The host's homemade jam and honey to go with freshly baked croissants. We left feeling really spoilt and replete.
