The oven had broken on the morning before our arrival. A problem quickly rectified with the introduction of a counter-top oven and an airfryer to get us by. No problem.

Located near Alnwick, Bamburgh, Seahouses and Lindisfarne, that we managed to visit during our stay. The house was beautifully decorated and very clean. We couldn't have wished for a better equipped house!

Nothing it was perfect for us.

Located just outside the village of High Newton this property is perfect for exploring the Northumberland Coast. Easy to find with ample parking for a least 3 vehicles. The house is well equipped with everything you could possible need. A really nice ample kitchen and large table with bench seating for breakfast, dinner and playing games. There are also comfortable chairs and settee's. Very spacious rooms. We particularly like the outside seating area with wonderful views to the distant villages and the sea. On a night it is really quiet. The owners were great and kept us updated via Email and text the whole time. On our last night after dark we turned out all the lights and sat outside watching the amazing stars, never seen so many. One day we left the car and took the Public Footpath at the side of the far left house. It leads through 3 fields to High Newton and the Joiner's arms/Football Hole beach. We then walked to low Newton and over the beach to Dunstanburgh Castle. Brilliant walk and stunning views across Newton and Embleton beaches. There is a great Deli in Embleton for shopping. For eating out we would recommend The Fish Shack (Amble), The Joiner's Arms (High Newton) & The Jolly Fisherman (Craster), booking recommended. Football Hole beach is a walk or short car journey away and beautiful. We didn't eat at the Ship Inn (Low Newton) but had a drink from it's own brewery selection. Best beer's on the coast. If it's your thing Howick Hall and its gardens is worth a visit. Great family holiday we would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Struggled to find anything we didn’t like.

On a fast road, had to be super careful that the children didn't run about in the front yard when getting in and out of the car. However the back yard was very secure for them to play in, with some great outdoor games available.

Absolutely nothing.

The house was just in the perfect location. Clean and tidy. Enough space for everyone. Great facilities like the outdoor seating, tumble drier and extra fridge freezer in the garage. OMG the jacuzzi bath! Amazing! Clear instructions and great communication. Beds were comfy and great views. We went to book again but it was sold out!

Little bit of road noise.

The property was spacious and beautifully appointed. Sarah had left a welcome pack which was well appreciated. The views are to die for from both front and back of the property. Perfectly positioned to explore the wonders of Northumberland. We will definitely return.

The house had everything we could wish for and the host was extremely helpful. Very clean and comfortable. Great views from the back garden and, although on a road, it was very quiet. We loved everything and would readily recommend it for families. Great position for visiting the many attractions in the area. Had an outside lock up area suitable for storing bikes which was an added bonus.
