Personal opinion but if you aren’t used to animal noise at night I’d advise earplugs as there were a lot of geese honking all night right ohtskde the window (though it was lovely to literally be right by the river!).

I didn’t find the bed very comfortable. I think it was a bit hot and stuffy- we found the heating rather complicated.

The location was excellent- near the centre and supermarkets. It was clean and good to have coffee tea and milk. The view was amazing. I booked parking with Morrisons at the cost of 28 quid.Not far at all to go. Daisy was very helpful.

The property was well located. It is just walking distance from shops and tourist spot. Toiletries are included. There was milk, tea, coffee. Furnitures and kitchen stuff are all in good condition. We have a good view of the river. The place was clean.

We could have done with more than one extra pillow in the wardrobe but, again, this really wasn’t an issue.

Great location for exploring York, with lovely views of the river. The flat itself was well decorated and very comfortable - we especially appreciated how warm and cosy it was for a winter trip! The host was really helpful, sending us extensive information ahead of our stay and replying to any queries we had, making check-in and out effortless. The kitchenette was well stocked with the essentials and we enjoyed the complimentary Prosecco 🙂 As past reviews mention, the geese outside are quite loud. This didn’t bother us at all as we woke up fairly early, and enjoyed watching them go by - but worth noting if you plan to lie in. If this doesn’t bother you though, this is a great place to stay in York!

It was a shame the apartment did not come with parking. We had to pay 48 pound extra for a two night stay.

Apartment was clean and a good size for 2 nights, cot was made up for our baby free of charge. Location is great, few minutes walk to the city centre and the views from the apartment are amazing. Complimentary Prosecco was a nice touch!

Oven set up, would have preferred separate microwave, kettle was heavily limescaled, but accommodation was clean apart from that, bottle of bubbly in fridge was nice touch

Everything was fine really. It might have been helpful to have a microwave in the kitchen, but we didn't really miss it. It was just an idea we had.

The location was great. The building was fantastic and the decor was sharp. The whole apartment was clean and well-maintained. It had a good shower and cracking views from the windows. Also, they left us a bottle of fizz as a welcome gift, which was lovely :)

Sofa bed wasn't very comfortable and TV signal hit and miss. I expected to be able to park on site without having to pay but had to park at Morrisons, luckily it could be booked in advance and wasn't too expensive

The heat they had a fan in the apartment but it didnt really help. The bed is only a double so with mine and my husbands body heat and apartment heat we barely slept all weekend and left shattered. If your a person who is always cold then this apartment will be perfect for you. I'm always hot so this didn't work well.

They left a bottle of prosecco, which is a nice touch The facilities were modern The shower was large so fit my 6ft 2 husband in it. Privacy Bed was comfy and had extra pillows The location was 8mins away to most amenities. It was a really good location. It thought of everything you need like extra toilet roll, coffee for the cafetria, iron board and iron, hair dryer, ear plugs for the geese. There is milk in the fridge handy if you need it. I personally don't like the taste of this milk but someone else might like it.

The cushions were very thin and soft. And it was pretty warm inside, no airconditioning.

I saw a lot of bad reviews about the geese and i though oh it cant be that bad.... IT IS that bad! They do rounds up and down the river from like 4am - its relentless. only plus side is we were up early enough to walk around York before everything opened so it was nice walk around when its not crowded. Also its kinda difficult to find - well i thought so anyway but maybe that was the few beers i had beforehand. Its a beautiful apartment but unfortunately i wont be returning simply because of the geese.

The apartment was fabulous. very clean, modern and up-to date. Good location and lovely views - overlooking the river, its got a lot of history which is a nice touch. Wine shop about a 5 min walk which is handy.

A fan would be really handy as it was pretty hot! Reasonable sized free standing mirror for hair styling purposes would be helpful as the mirror on the wall was a little high for me. Such a mirror would also make it easier for makeup as the bathroom one was not very well lit.

Felt very secure and safe which was important to me traveling on my own for the first time. Sense of humour of owner supplying ear plugs to help against the noise of the geese! The bottle in the fridge was also very welcome. Daisy was incredibly helpful and fast in answering questions.

The sofa bed was so uncomfortable, after two nights our backs hurt, definitely needs a thicker mattress. Also as there was four of us and only two of most cutlery that was an issue when we ate. Could do with more wine glasses too.
