Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomEverything was good.
The location was great, and my friend lived around the corner. The room was excellent and very clean including a spotless bathroom. The guestroom is located to the left of the stairs. Great espresso coffee machine in the bedroom and very peaceful and quite. Great to rejuvenate your mind after a long week. Great countryside and beautiful cottages clustered together and spaced out. From one cottage to the next, the Cotswolds has everything to offer. Parking is available just behind the gate in between the porch and the gate. Bedroom has a fridge and Amazon Prime Movies for you to Watch also. Bed was very comfy and shower was nice and large and warm water always running. Will Visit again this time maybe for Architecture Work in the Cotswalds. Keys are in the keysafe, the long key is for the porch inner door, the small key is for your bedroom, and the key with the red plastic cover is for the Yale lock, (have to lift the latch and pull the door when you leave the property), digital Key safe and the Owner also kept us informed of all the facilities on offer. Easy to check in and Check out. Take advantage of nature at its best, make the most of it! (Recommend hiking boots for long walks). Firework Show was the Best! and donated to Charity!

United KingdomIf travelling by bus you need to plan your day trips carefully. After the 08.00 to Newport there isn't another bus until 10.00, similarly on return in the late afternoon - no bus back after 16.00ish. Pity room service was missed one day.
Lovely quiet location. Peta is an excellent host. Good vegetarian breakfasts, well presented. Big rooms. Red squirrels. Direct bus service on Island Coaster Niton to/from Yarmouth (for Lymington ferry) saves time by avoiding Newport.

United KingdomThe room could benefit from redecoration.
Church View was in a lovely, quiet location within walking distance from the village and the local hotel where we had a meal. The room was comfortable and great value for money and perfectly adequate for a short stay. We had a separate , private bathroom next to the bedroom with a good shower. We took our own bowls, plates and cutlery and made our own breakfast using the milk that was left in the fridge and there was a plentiful supply of teas and coffees. The Cotswolds is generally quite expensive for hotels and I thought that Church View was a great place for an affordable 2 days away.

United KingdomNothing really. This is not really a complaint just an observation. At the time we booked it did state that it was a "B&B" however they don't do breakfast and there is not much round there. I think the description title has changed now. We took porridge pots and made those. So it was ok but go prepared!
The room was clean and comfy. Private shower room was very clean. Parking on site. There is a kettle and fridge and supplies of tea, coffee and fresh milk. It was close to towns in the Cotswolds and close to the venue we were attending a wedding at so perfect location.

United KingdomThere was a rooster that woke us at 4am, and wind chimes. I marked excellent as these factors was out of control of the hosts but did effect our stay as we had a wedding in the morning and was awake since 4am Also found it difficult to find
Hosts were friendly, room and bathroom was clean. Had fridge, kettle, TV, firestick etc.

United KingdomI had a bad sat-nav day, the postcode area is large, so a little more detailed direction would have been useful, but it was no big deal, I'm a bloke....so I got there after a couple of drive-by's!
The location was stunning, sitting outside in the evening sunshine, looking over the meadow to the church was quintessentially English.

United KingdomMy fault for not checking when booking whether it was a B & B but it's bed only. Luckily there's an excellent pub just 10 minutes walk away which does breakfast if you ask nicely.
A good spot to break a long drive in lovely country.

AustraliaGorgeous little cottage, extremely comfy bed, great shower. Beautiful view of the garden with lots of little birds. Nice little field to walk right outside your door. Very easy check in and check out process, great communication with hosts. Tea and coffee facilities, TV and fridge in your room. On the outskirts of the Cotswolds but not far from anything really with a car.

United KingdomHad a lovely time during the stay. Having a fridge in the room with fresh cold water and milk for some tea and coffee. It was lovely to be able to have a very comfortable bed for the night. If I ever come back to this part of the Cotswolds I will most likely want to stay here again. I highly recommend this place.

United KingdomThe property was difficult to find and I would have appreciated the road name which it was on, to go with the postcode which my car Satnav found. Parking was OK but the drive is shared with the neighbour who had to ask me to move closer to the house.
There was no breakfast offered and no facilities to cook my own. However there was a kettle for hot water and fresh milk in the fridge in the room. The shower was very good and plenty of hot water. The bed was one of the most comfortable which I have slept in, in a budget style of accommodation.

United KingdomWe told to the person in charge of the “hotel” we were arriving at 9pm and while we were driving there we got lost. The person in charge (Alex) told us at 9h30 that the checkin hour was until 6pm (but at that time it was useless tell us that). When we finally arrived, we had a code to open the door following the instruction Alex gave us in the morning. We enter the code to open the door and the door was locked from inside. We messaged and called Alex but she/he never picked up. So we were totally in the middle of the field at 10pm without having a place to stay. We had to look for the nearest hotel in Google maps, go there and we stayed there. Church View took us the money and we did not stayed there. On top of that, as the door was looked, what does that mean? If you decide to stay in that “hotel” you can not go out of that house after the hour Alex decides??? It is ridiculous and the WORST experience ever. We want the money back
Nothing because they took us the money but we could enter the accommodation
