How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The only downside is on our return we found a parking ticket hidden down under the wipers. We obviously did not read the welcome pack and although it is free parking you need to display the badge. Disappointing. Buy hay ho.
Great place to spend a few days in Liverpool. Would definitely stay again.

We were awoken on a couple of occasions on Saturday night by noisy neighbours within the complex which disturbed our sleep but this could not be helped by owner and has not put us off coming back.
The location’s proximity to Liverpool Uni was great for us. The fact that there was free, secure parking was also a bonus. The property itself looked recently refurbished and everything you would need for a short stay was provided for. It is very clean, spacious and well equipped and communication from owner was superb. We will definitely be coming back!

Nothing, it was all very good.
A very clean, well equipped spacious apartment. Good close access to a good selection of bars and restaurants if you want to eat out and close to the university campus which was brilliant for us as that where we were heading. Stu was most helpful on the phone and provide all the information you need to access the secure offroad park and accessing the apartment. Really good stay, defo recommend this to anyone.

Host sent very clear instructions about parking and how to access the property. Apartment was super clean, spacious & great location. We didn’t need a 2 bed apartment but it was better value of money to stay here for 2 nights with the free parking & facilities, compared to other apartments/hotels in the area. Would 100% recommend staying here especially if you are needing longer than one night and/or are a group needing more than one room/bed. We will be looking to book here again if needing to stop over in this area.

We loved the whole property and felt very safe within the gated community! However, we did notice the main entrance door was broken so didn’t lock behind us but the main entrance gate was working so didn’t bother us. Only suggestions we thought of to make it more homely would be to have a few blankets in the sofa area as sofas were beautiful but could have been comfier. Our sons stayed in the single beds and commented on the duvets being on the small side and slipping out of the duvet cover. However, all these things would just be extras as we loved the property. We would definitely book again next time we’re in Liverpool. Thank you 🙏🏼
A beautiful flat within a 20-30 minute walk to the cathedral and shopping centre. The free parking was a huge bonus too as parking in town is expensive. Everything was modern and very clean, thoughtful items left such as tea, coffee, a little milk and toiletries which were really helpful. The host couldn’t have been more helpful and communicative which we really appreciated.

The outside of the apartment complex could do with some TLC, as it looked slightly uninviting. We believe the property had been smoked in prior to our arrival and the smell of smoke was very strong. Stephen (owner) was very attentive and offered to provide air neutralisers.
The property was lovely and clean and well looked after. It is a 25-30 minute walk into the city centre, however the Ubers are very reasonable in price and easily accessible. Owner (Stephen) was very attentive and responsive to messages sent.
