How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Walls were so thin there was zero soundproofing. You can hear every word spoken from the room next door and the hallway. Would not recommend unless you are a very heavy sleeper.
Room was clean and the bed was very comfy. Also decent location between two tube stations.

The wifi is super slow at night. It can get loud with neighbours so I think there should be more soundproofing.
It was really comfortable and nice. The staff were very welcoming.

Noise of common area including bathroom. Soundproof might worth be improved a bit. But fine overall.

1.- The address you get on booking and the messages are not correct, it sends you to a different building. 2.- I know that most of the accommodations in London charge 50, 100 pounds as a deposit, pretty annoying but I guess it's standard in this godforsaken city, but here on top of that we got charged extra money for doing a late check-in, never seen this in a place anywhere in the world so really makes your experience very annoying. 3.- The room was extremely simple, I won't complain about the fact that there's no mirror or chair or anything else other than a bed, I get it, it's a budget accommodation, but the door we had in our room was just ridiculous, it was not even installed properly, paper thin, and with a massive keyhole that let people see inside the room from the outside, so I, traveling with my partner, made her feel quite uneasy. Also, you hear EVERYTHING from the neighbouring rooms, and I mean every little noise. The cherry on top was the last night where there was a group of American girls pregaming in their room till past midnight being EXTREMELY loud with speakers and probably guests (were like 5 girls so I don't think they were all staying here), but yeah this is not to blame the hotel, that's just inconsiderate people.
The location is AMAZING, you're very central and very close to the tube, the neighbourhood is fine and there's also a supermarket couple blocks away.

In the bathroom, there was mold in the light fixture on the ceiling and the WiFi was a little slow, but these are fairly minor complaints.
Great location, very close to the Central line, which can get you anywhere. Room was small, but it's the perfect size for 2 people. Staff was very friendly. The room, the bathroom and the corridor between the rooms was very clean and tidy.

They asked for a deposit of 150GBP (which we did not have), luckily we researched earlier on google maps and they seemed to have scammed some people by asking a deposit and never paying it back. They did not insist so that was okay.

The heating system in our room was broken. I told a staff but it was not fixed during our stay..
Staffs were very friendly. Instant coffee and tea, electric kettle in the room for free. The room was very small but clean.
