One of the best rooms I’ve ever stayed in great bed had a bath plenty tea bags and shirt bread. Lovely breakfast, 5 minutes walk to train station Susie was very friendly just a great place to stay

Excellent breakfast. Location perfect (as we were attending a concert in Sherborne Abbey). Our hostess had lots of information about the local area and we were guided by her on the choice of walks.

Couldn’t be better

Breakfasts were wonderful! Susie is the most welcoming host and the room was exquisite. Location, within 2 minutes walk from the delightful Sherborne town centre with its varied Pubs and restaurants, is just perfect.

Just from a personal perspective I would have preferred a shower to the bath.

It was ideally located, cozy, and with some lovely features. Susie was a great host and I was very well looked after.

Breakfast was 5 star hotel level, if not better. Large room and bathroom. Lovely furnishings. Very relaxing. Susie the owner is great. Shower is wonderful. The whole experience was quite exceptional. So much thought and effort has gone into creating a wonderful B&B.

Quality of bedding, the charm of the interior, the interesting objets d'art, the freedom of the garden patio. The owner Susie was most welcoming. Easy parking at her property made life easy for us. Quality breakfast. beautifully presented.

This is an exceptional B&B- so comfortable (excellent beds and Egyptian Cotton linen), lovely decor, tea/coffee in our room, our own spotless bathroom with plenty of hot water. Susie is a lovely host and prepared the most delicious breakfast. Clare’s Cottage is quiet and yet only a couple of minutes walk from the center of Sherborne. Highly recommend.

If we could have stayed a few more nights!!

Clare Cottage is in a quiet location but situated very close to the Abbey, pubs, restaurants, shops and a short pleasant walk to the lovely castle. Susie is a very welcoming host ,very helpful and provided lots of useful information. We stayed in the garden room which was cool and airy even in this hot spell. We had the best breakfast that we have ever had in a b& b or hotel, made of the local produce and so tasty.

The phone number on the Booking.com website was incorrect even though the owner of Clare Cottage had asked them to change it. This made the initial contact at the property a bit difficult. Nothing to do with Clare Cottage but the Half Moon pub was awful and is best avoided.

The breakfast was excellent. It was just a short walk into town for the restaurants and was in easy reach of Sherborne Castle and the Abbey.

The lack of a wardrobe could be an issue for stays longer than a couple of nights.

The room was large with a huge comfy bed. The free standing bath was a touch of luxury. The addition of a coffee maker was very welcome. Homemade shortbread was a real treat. Susie was a great host & breakfast was very enjoyable. We were also able to use a well appointed gardenin which to enjoy a glass of wine. Clare Cottage was in a great location for the Town, The Abbey & The Castle

Susie was the most incredible welcoming hostest and has nothing was to much trouble. The cooked breakfast was delicious and there was an excellent choice. Her knowledge of places to eat and walk was spit on.

Would have been good to have a small fridge in the room in which to store milk for the tea and coffee.

Spacious and well appointed room with lovely heritage bath and comfortable bed. Breakfast superb and host very friendly and helpful. Great to have off-street parking. Very convenient location - short walk to both the beautiful abbey and the restaurant booked for eve meal.

We were satisfied with everything.

Well appointed room imaginatively adapted to be self-contained within a fifteenth century cottage. Great breakfast. Susie very welcoming and helpful with information on Sherborne. The town itself is beautiful with much to see and Clare Cottage is located a few minutes walk from the town centre. Convenient parking in the front garden.
