The view from the room was train tracks and the breakfast wasn’t the best. No fried eggs, mushrooms or hash browns as I’ve had in other hotels. If I stayed here again i would go to viva Brazil next door for breakfast

The beds wet comfy and staff were pleasant and helpful. The location was great though, very near the centre.

Room was quite hot and the very thick duvet provided was way too warm for the temperature of the room.

Clean tidy hotel close to all shopping, all the staff very helpful. Good value for money we'd recommend it to family and friends, rooms secure. Very close to train station.

All staff very helpful, pleasant & professional. Breakfast was good with options around the standard buffet of cooked items. Beds were comfortable & bedroom cleaned daily. Overall excellent value in a central location.

The hotel is right in the city centre but we were not troubled by external noise. There was some noise disturbance from other guests but hotel staff dealt with this very promptly and we had no further problems. The breakfast selection was excellent.

Mattress of bed seemed to have some dip in it, so it was a little uncomfortable to sleep on. Water pressure and showers were not good at all.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, great customer service. The hotel is in such a convenient and central location with everything you need nearby. The room was wonderful, clean and had additional things like pillows, dressing gowns etc.

the room was cold and although i called and visited the reception several times and staff had been in it did not get warm, must have been broken as the thermostat said 25 and i doubt if i was over 17

right in the city centre and a couple of minutes for the train station. nice staff, great breakfast and comfy bed. very clean throughout.

The shower was very weak and fixed to the wall meaning you have to stand right up against the wall. Despite the pictures showing an espresso maker in the room only a basic kettle and instant coffee are provided. I was unable to use the self service check in as it asks you to purchase add-ons such as breakfast with no way of bypassing however I managed to check in quickly and efficiently with the friendly reception staff.

Fantastic location if you’re arriving/departing by train as the station is only 2 minutes away. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable and the staff were very helpful.

The room was cold & we did not have a phone. My husband recently had a bypass & I felt vulnerable without a phone. We did get an extra heater the 1st night & phone the next afternoon.

Location was excellent as very close to the station. Breakfast was good but more options would have been welcomed.

Not much I didn’t like.

This is one of my fave places to stay at the min in Cardiff, it is a great location and the rooms are just great. Everything you need in a hotel to enjoy the city. Food whenever I have had it has been great too and the cocktails at the bar!

Very little window so very dark in room. No parking due to parking restrictions in train station. Should’ve been told beforehand.

The bathroom lighting was poor, could do with a bit of TLC however, the worst part was the shower. The pressure was very weak and wasn’t a great bathroom. For the Clayton I’d expect a better facilities.

The location was great and easily accessible from Cardiff central station. The room was tidy, clean and comfortable.

The pillows weren’t comfortable, they were hard. The shower wasn’t very warm or powerful. The TV was difficult to work. My husband got it working once, but then couldn’t seem to get any reception.

The only thing that we had issues with was the late checkout. I checked with the receptionist when we checked in that the late checkout (1pm) had been booked for the next day, and she said it had. I also had an email saying that it was, but wanted to check. When we were getting ready to leave the following day, around 12.30pm, there was a loud knock at the door and a lady asked us if we planned on checking out soon, which we said yes to. She then said that checkout was 11am, which my partner replied that we had booked and paid for late checkout, and we had checked with the front desk that it had been booked. She then told us that no late checkout had been added and that we needed to leave soon, which we were going to do anyway. When we handed our room keys back in at the front desk, nothing was mentioned.

It's the 2nd time we've stayed at this hotel, after being so impressed with it after our first visit 2 years ago. The rooms are a lovely size, spotlessly clean and you have everything included that you need; plenty of towels, a coffee pod machine and kettle with supplies, sky box etc. The food at the hotel is also incredible, and we would recommend dining at the restaurant if you can. The location is perfect too; let's than 2 minutes from Cardiff Central and across the road from the main street of bars and restaurants. Excellent value for money, and it is our go to hotel each time we have the chance to have a break from reality!

Bathroom wasnt fully clean, several strands of hair on wall and a clump of hair on bathroom floor. Bed was not the most comfortable could also do with bigger beds

The hearing wasn’t working in our room and being the time of year, didn’t make the stay very comfortable. After reporting the issue various times, we finally had the option of temporary heaters or we could change to a different room. As it was past midnight, we didn’t want the hassle of moving rooms.

Breakfast was not the best, had to wait a long time for things to be replenished. Location is very good.
