It was all good

Lovely clean and spacious hotel. A special mention to the receptionist (Vicky?) who made us most welcome, as did all the other staff throughout our stay. Our room was airy with a comfortable bed and every thing was very clean. The hotel has a lift which was important to us. The swimming pool had reopened only a day or 2 before our visit. The pool had obviously undergone an extensive refurbishment and the whole area was superb. There are extensive well maintained gardens with a path leading to Teignmouth beach some 10/15 minutes walk away. Breakfast was included, it was buffet style with a wide choice of hot and cold items. Overall excellent value

I wasn’t able to eat dinner at the hotel. We took a seat and once I looked at the menu, I realised they only had 2 gluten free options on it. I asked if there was anything they could adjust, such as removing the naan bread, however the chef refused to do anything else to facilitate me being able to eat. With this in mind, we left and had to find elsewhere to eat.

Dinner - unfortunately, as someone who is gluten free I did not feel able to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. They only provided 2 options and did not appear to be willing to adjust any other meals - for example, by taking a naan bread off. Despite this, the front of house lady was so apologetic of this and so flexible about what we were able to do - order a take away or whatever suited me/us. House of front lady - the most wonderful, welcoming, fun, adjusting and flexible lady. The perfect character and personality for this role. Couldn’t fault her for anything. Pool - only opened the week we visited. So lovely. A wonderful area. Room - slightly dated and unclean but still a nice room.

This hotel is wonderful, we had a beautiful room 102 that had a shared balcony and was huge! Beds were comfortable and the staff were great, really friendly, welcoming and down to earth. The pool was lovely, the grounds were stunning and the location was perfect, just a short stroll through the grounds and you're at the sea front. Absolutely amazing value for money. Highly recommend!

did not enjoy evening meals, had three meals because we had no transport to town. Could do with a bedside light as you had to get out of bed to turn off light at night.

We have stayed several times at this hotel but this time were provided with a room next to the road. We like the window open so was a little noisy

Buffet breakfast was quite good and very hot! Restaurant located at back of hotel with very large open aspect over large garden and sea! Nice gardens to walk through to walk along sea front. Beds were comfy

Service, there were 2 people on in the evening which was to cover the bar and restaurant. We waited over an hour for a meal we had pre ordered 🙃
