Great customer service, they really make you feel important! Absolutely spotless, lovely toiletries. Good size, lovely view from the room. Wonderful location. Great breakfast (with Yorkshire Tea- absolute must!), with the fabulous option to have this in bed. Cozy lounge with great decor throughout. We loved our stay and will definitely be back.

We loved the location, the quaint accommodations, and our room. It has a cozy cottage feel. There are little touches that go a long way such as snacks, a fridge to place items if needed, ideas for things to check out in the area and the best part is the amazing bed! Breakfast was absolutely wonderful! Thank you for a beautiful stay, I definitely recommend and we will be back!

Nothing as the whole experience was very relaxing.

Breakfast was an excellent idea. Staff were just great. Bedrooms were very comfortable. The location of the guesthouse was perfect for all sightseeing experiences as everything was in easy walking distance.

The only tiny little thing to improve were maybe the mattresses (for me too springy) but that is certainly a very individual preference :-)

The location is ideal, the staff super friendly and the room es very nicely done and the bathroom was huge, super clean and modern. Loved our stay! And the breakfast hampers were awesome, too!

The bedroom was compact though very tastefully decorated. Bathroom was spacious. Breakfast was better than I expected and ample.

We loved every minute of being at the guesthouse. The staff were lovely and the room was gorgeous. We stayed here for a birthday trip and greeted by birthday bunting and sweets. The guesthouse is in an ideal location close to everything you need. Breakfast was exceptional, very tasty and a great range of items to choose from. Being dairy free this was also catered for. We can't recommend this guesthouse enough and loved all the added touches of an area to make your own tea/coffee anytime and sweet treats. We'll definitely be back!

Could possibly have thicker curtains for summer, the sun woke me very early but wasn't a problem, just a suggestion. Would have liked eggs at breakfast but again wasn't bothered.

Lots of character, spotlessly clean and really beautiful. Very quiet. Loved all the little touches. Breakfast hamper had everything and was nice to eat in my room. Was nicer than some of the hotels I've stayed in in York. Really lovely place.

The only downside is very steep and narrow staircase with no lift and the size of the room. There is barely any room around the bed and the bathroom, when you sit on the toilet the sink is basically on your lap. This was okay for a night's stay but I wouldn't enjoy staying in such a small room for a longer trip.

It was clean, the staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was quite nice too.

Parking was a distance from the B&B at the bottom of the hill.

We stayed here in late April 2024 and enjoyed the location next to the Yorkshire Museum gardens which are just stunning and lovely way to access the tourist attractions of York. Our room was spacious and quiet, although we did get cooking aromas from the pub next door.

Stairs and big cases?

Nothing though steep narrow stairs to the room I had on top floor might be a problem for some. (Other rooms on ground floor)

Location was brilliant, a short beautiful walk along the river or through gardens to reach the Minster, restaurants, shopping etc. So close yet down a quiet street and my room had a view of the Minster. Very comfortable bed and bedlinen, I slept so well and normally I don't the first night away. The Guesthouse is quirky in the best way possible. I will definitely be back. The breakfast basket delivered to my room was superb.
