How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. There was a big wine stain on the carpet along with what looked like chocolate. The floor just felt a bit dirty. Not a great hotel if you're looking at getting to Heathrow Airport. The only way to get there is by taxi which will cost you £20. There is no shuttle to and from the airport - you will need to stay on a hotel in Bath Road which is much more accessible.

Location is in a ulez clean air charge area so cost more which we didn't know £35 for arriving at 8pm and leaving at 6.30am it's no clear on booking so feel should be as not from the area. The facilities off main reception were in dire state, doors in toilets wouldn't shut, leaning and cracks. Bloody tissues on the sink unit. The bath plug in the room wouldn't unplug so we all showered with our feet in dirty water

Says it is an airport hotel , but has no shuttle service!🤷♀️taxi costs about 30 pounds each way ! Thus increased our nightly stay considerably! Might be better to stay at a place that has good underground connection as opposed to this! Underground is much cheaper mode of transportation

Shortage of staff at reception desk, there were one staff checking in large numbers of people on Saturday and Sunday. The the queue on occasions was too long.
The breakfasts had a good healthy choices and there were no shortage of drinks. The location is perfect.

Flooring in the room above was creaky, awful smell lingering around the hotel. No toilet paper in the room and cleaner had none. She did, however, kindly offer face tissues! Staff at the front desk should smile more often!
Uber was quick.

Staff was not smiling or caring much. Not too helpful. Looked like they were forced to be there. Breakfast was not good. Plates and glasses was dirty and staff didn’t even care.
We actually got a nice and big room for a family of four!

Bar selection very limited. Only one bottled lager available. No draft beers or cider. Wine selection limited as well. Management said they were awaiting a delivery. Mmm not sure about this!
Comfortable and clean beds. Bar and restaurant area comfortable . Food in restaurant good value for money but limited choice.

Dirty red wine glass by our door on arrival The small sofa bed was very small for two children- with only a single duvet on. We clearly booked for 2 adults and 2 children but not enough bedding/towels/glasses were provided. The chairs in the room were stained.

A bunch of around 7 children running absolutely wild in the bar area. We were unable to have a conversation. They were shouting, running and jumping over furniture. They were from the Gypsy community and nobody wanted to confront them.

The mould in the bathroom was awful! Especially along the bath tub.. you could tell they tried to cover it with while sealant but the black mould was still poking through! Bathroom not cleaned properly! Hairs were still in the bath No leaflets or information inside the room about anything. No information given at check in about check out times, breakfast/dinner etc! £16 for parking is a joke!!
Deluxe king Room was nice and big! Bed was comfortable!
