Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LatviaRoom was cold, even though heaters were on and very warm. Tv and internet signal quite weak in the room. Small hand soaps or soap dispenser could be provided.
Guest house is located in nice neighbourhood, some 5 min walk from high street shops and pubs, 10 min walk from station. Wimbledon Lawn Tennis museum in walkable distance from guest house. Also bus stop quite close. Upon request was provided with kettle, tea, milk and sugar. After checking out was allowed to leave luggage for few hours. Hair dryer was provided.

New ZealandAlthough advertised under facilities as having hair dryer, electric kettle, neither were in the room. A hair dryer was eventually supplied when asked for, by which time was no longer needed. Extra towels offered , but only supplied when reminded. No kettle, tea, coffee meant we had to go downstairs each time we wanted a hot drink. No reason was offered when we asked. The toilet cistern had a stick to flush. It did work but seemed to have been broken for a few months ( host did say she was going to DIY store and getting it fixed ....). Vacuum cleaner parked on the stairs our entire 2 day stay. Multibox in room not ideal. TV reception poor to non-existent. These issues were a shame as location is great!
Great location , comfortable bed, clean room and ensuite .

United KingdomA little noisy after midnight as I was woken up a couple of times but this is down to other guests I presume. The WiFi also kept cutting out.
The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom facilities were good. The pricing was very affordable.

United KingdomI'm not sure if WiFi would be strong enough to support connection for work purposes but that was ok with me for this trip
Great location next to the Wimbledon tube, about 30 min from the city. Very comfy and inviting room with extra care taken by the owner, they were kind to accommodate my late check in. I will definitely stay here again when I travel. Wimbledon itself has so much to offer and the house is off the main road full of bars and food places. Also, extremely comfortable double bed with a private shower (lovely hot water) for a really good price so I fully recommend this place!

United KingdomAlmost 1-hour trip in underground from central London. The staff was correct, but there doesn't seem to be any security provision, although the zone is residential and quiet. There was some noise around midnight and very little shower gel left.
The place is in Zone 3 of the London transport system, that should be considered. The Wimbledon centre is very close, so there are lots of shops and the train station is a 5-minute walk away. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable.

AustriaWe booked a room for 2 adults and 1 child, however, the bed for the child was missing when we arrived. Hosts were sorry and set up a mattress on the floor. Our kid was happy, but in fact there was not much space in the room for an additional bed.
The apartment is located in a nice area, residential and quiet, and not far from the tub station.
