I couldn't find the switch for the wall lights. I could have asked! There was more traffic noise than I get at home, though I do live at the end of a quiet close.

Friendly welcome, clean room, good breakfast choice. Close to the hospital, where I had an appointment at 9am the next morning. Free Wi-Fi, I was able to join friends on Zoom in the evening.

Slightly noisy from doors & plumbing, but that is to be expected in an older property.

The location was great for the Nuffield Orthopaedic hospital - walkable in less than 5 minutes. There are restaurants, coffee houses & shops also within walking distance - less than 15 minutes. The guest house is old but kept very clean, with plenty of on site parking.

The kettle had mould over the base. So even coffee and tea was available I could not use it. I think it needs to cleaned and the other kettles need to be checked as well. The bed was squeaky I think pillow in a guest house is better to be medium in texture. The pillows were firm.

Very basic for the price paid. We booked a triple bed family room for three,. The wifi was not working appearently for quite somr time. The staff wasn‘t aware untill we reflect th situation after checking in, took them about an hour sorting out replace the router, whicjh should have been checked and settled before we arrived . The cmunocation was not clear, took me 3 to 4 tmes back and fourth trying to understand what was going on and jow long it wouls take to sort out the issue. The room , even a decenr size, it was kind of dusty , can see dust on heating equipment. Shower was kind of weak. Just a place for sleep over,.

Special requests were not addressed, single room on ground floor was requested due to disability and mobility of one of the guests. The ground floor room was a double and due to dynamics of guests staying it wasn't suitable to be occupied by single occupant. In the future if a special request is given and can’t be met it would be good for this to be communicated in good time. There was no hair dryer in the room as suggested.

The staff were friendly on arrival and the room was clean.

We hadn't realised when booking that breakfast wasn't included, and we would have to pay an extra £10 per person for each day. When checking the site when we got home, this was mentioned in quite small print. The double room (Room 8) was barely big enough for the double bed, which was almost against the wall on one side, making it very difficult to get in and out of. As an older person this was a challenge.

The staff we saw were friendly. Our room and en suite was clean and well maintained.

We were disappointed that there were no plugs in the sink or the bath. While we appreciate most people shower, a bath would have been welcome on a cold winter night, and not allowing someone to fill up a sink for a shave seems a bit off.

Great location for our purposes and very comfortable stay. Room was spacious, curtains shut out the late, beds were fine, and there was a heater for extra warmth.

There was limited coffee the day I was there at breakfast and no warm milk to go with it. The overhead lights in the room were very bright and I couldn't get the bedside light to work.

The cleanliness, the quiet room, and all the basics like the hospitality tray, soap etc. and a parking place and self check out. The breakfast was fairly comprehensive and there was a choice of cooked food.
