The padding on the fouton bed is quite thin so made that bed a little uncomfortable.

The location is beautiful, hearing the cows and the chickens in the morning is good for the soul. The hosts were really helpful and the accomodation was easily accessible with great directions given by the host to find the place.

I didn't realise that the bathroom would be across the hall but it was private use, so that was okay. I was also expecting a different room from the photos but I think this might be a glitch in Booking.com.

Fabulous breakfast - gluten free options catered for. Very delicious! The hosts Maggie and Quentin were very helpful and allowed my partner to hang out at the Farm while I was at the Verve festival. I loved the homely feel and the many objects and pictures of interest. The very opposite of a sterile, anonymous stay. The dog, Charlie, was a bit vocal on arrival but a real softie and enjoyed a good scratch behind the ears. I'm only sad we couldnt' stay longer and were too tired to stargaze on the first night, as the clouds precluded the excellent dark sky experience on the second. I enjoyed sharing the breakfast table with the other guests, also going to the festival, and chatting merrily away about ghosts (inspired by the fact that the building is over 400 years old, not because of any supernatural experiences) and yoga. I slept much better than I normally do in a strange place - I am a terrible insomniac at times - as the bed was HUGE and very comfortable. All in all, I would thoroughly recommend it and would readily return.

TV bit small for its position, not that it was used much.

Good sized rooms. WiFi connection was excellent. Well behaved chickens considerately didn't start too early (they obviously like a lie in at the weekend too). Fresh eggs superb. Fantastically quiet and dark location. Gorgeous scenery.

History of the building, beautiful house and gardens. Location was rural but not too far from attractions. Views of the area were beautiful. Still a working farm. Friendly and welcoming hosts, including their dog.

Great location perfect for Longleat Safari Park with our daughter. Huge room for us as a family. Very friendly and personable hosts made us very welcome. Loved that our daughter was made so welcome and that her breakfast was brought out first so she didn’t have to wait, makes all the difference with a toddler.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Cools Farm in the depths of Wiltshire, loved all the animals and Maggie our fabulous host really went above and beyond for me, taking the trouble to search for, find and send to me my 2 passports I had stupidly left behind. Saved me a tidy sum in cancelled flights to Australia and getting new passports. THANK YOU SO MUCH, Maggie!
