Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe cabin only has coffee in tea bags, a little French Press/coffee machine would be amazing, but other than that nothing else I would change.
Most beautiful spot if you are seeking to get away into the nature for some piece and quietness. We stayed for a long weekend in May and couldn't recommend it more- the views onto the sea are stunning with amazing sunsets. We were lucky with the weather and were able to spend a lot of time on the terracce. The cabin is very cosy and beautifully decorated and has everything you need and many thoughtful derails.

United KingdomLeaving. It's so peaceful
The location is incredible, looking out at Harris and north Uist. The cabin is equipped with everything you could need, it is so calming. We stayed at the start of feb2024, Arriving in a gale and rain lashing down, yet once inside, we felt perfectly safe thanks to how well it's been constructed. There's central heating inside so we could have it at a temperature that suits us. Kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed, including oil, salt, pepper and sugar. Bathroom was lovely, just the right size with a fantastic shower. Bed was comfortable and perfect for gazing out in the evening. If you like your wildlife there are some hares that dot around the place, sheep and a bay. Night time is incredible, with no lights, take a torch if you need anything from your car, but look up at the milkyway. I forgot my camera however on a camera phone you still captured 100s and 1000s of stars. Parking is right by the cabin, Jenny and Roland are absolutely lovely, Roland helped me with our itinerary for where to go and helped avoid a potential disastrous journey home via the ferry in checking on times. Shame I can't rate more than 10 as it was exactly what we needed and more than what we were expecting. It hasn't been thrown together, it has been carefully thought out and well planned by people who care. Thank you and see you soon. Matt and Freya

Italyabsolutely perfect.
The cabin was perfect, cosy, attentively decorated, and clean. It is set in a beautiful location with stunning views on the bay. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook, including tea, good coffee and shortbread. The hosts' house was just behind the cabin so they were available for anything we would need, meanwhile we felt that the cabin was immersed in nature and with a lot of privacy. They also provided some useful instructions to reach the place and for our stay.

United KingdomReally enjoyed our stay here, a great location that is a short walk to coral beach. The drive to the accommodation is beautiful. The stay itself has everything you need, a good sized fridge and all the amenities you would expect, plus some nice touches like tea cakes and shortbread. You can have a luxurious, romantic stay here and the views are beautiful. We got engaged whilst we were here so will always be a special place for us

United StatesThe first time you drive to the property can be dodgy, but after that it becomes quite fun. DEFINITELY slow down for potholes in addition to evade. The WiFi can also be iffy, but they use satellite so that's expected during inclement weather.
The hosts. Jenny handled the communication, Roland served as the on-site muscle. Both went far and beyond what we would expect of them. The property is beautiful, and the kitchen is FULL. Go to the groceries and buy anything you want, there's also a grill out back. Having stopped at Portree on arrival, we're glad we didn't stay there. Coral Cabins might seem isolated, but that just means fewer people, less traffic, and reliable food. There's a booklet in the cabin with all the restaurant recommendations, however you might want to message Jenny before arrival because some of the higher end ones will require reservations especially in the summer months.

United KingdomThe view was stunning. There is alot of wildlife and the sunset is beautiful. The cabin was cosy, clean and had everything we need. It was very remote, so pack the food you need before getting to the isle of skye. The fresh scones and beer left for us was a treat. The hosts were friendly and said we could knock and ask them anything. They offered us local info of where to go site seeing and where to eat.

The most gorgeous location and view EVER!11 Going this side and not staying here would be devastating. The hosts are super helpful, polite and amazing as well. The apartment itself is small but it’s just enough to have the double bed and add a folding bed however, the place more than makes up for it all!

United KingdomCoral Cabins is a truly magical place. The views from the cabin were outstanding, and the property itself is stunning. The cabin was beautifully built, perfectly furnished, and immaculate - we were inspired by all of the thoughtful touches. Jenny and Roland were wonderful and helpful hosts, and we can’t thank them enough for all they did to make our trip to Isle of Skye special. This experience will always have a special place in our hearts. Overall, this stay is exceptional, 10/10. We would highly highly recommend!

United KingdomThat we cannot move there permenantly. 😂
In short: everything! This place is a hidden gem, away from any disturbing noises! Jenny and Roland were perfect hosts. They kept our privacy, but were always there if we needed them. This little cabin has everything that you need for your Skye stay! It is close to Coral beach, and to the local village of Dunvegan. We had a perfect sunset view, and the cabin ia cosy and very well maintained. It is well equipped and even the shower was excellent (it's rare to see good temperature and pressure in cabins and even in many hotels!!!). This cabin is unique and you can see the personal touch and feel to it; it's not a 'mass produced' glamping pod, but a handmade hideaway. We LOVED it.
