Everything! The shower was amazing - came out of the ceiling 15ft high and was a waterfall- never seen anything like it! Bathroom was brilliant! The staff was so accommodating and catered to our needs.

The only observation I'd make and this is probably due to the changing of the seasons, was that the heating came on in the morning which made the room very warm to the point we couldn't open the fixed and now steamy windows. Fresh air would have been welcome.

Located halfway between Edinburgh and Gretna Green my wife to be and I stayed here just for a night before eloping the following day. We had the place to ourselves, our room was very spacious and tastefully decorated and dinners and breakfasts we had in the Ghillie restaurant were excellent. A very memorable start to our visit to Scotland for all good reasons.

Rooms were very warm & windows only open about an inch. Asked at reception to turn the heating down as no controls in the room. Unfortunately no adjustments to heat were made during my 2 night stay. Also ordered room service for breakfast & the dirty tray was not removed.

It is a very impressive building in beautiful countryside. The rooms & bathrooms are of a very high standard. The food was delicious. The staff were great.

We found this hotel by accident, travelling up to Speyside. Staff were super friendly, we were upgraded to the most exquisite room, honeymoon suite as it was my husbands 50th!. The restaurant food was delicious, we would definitely go back!

We opted for the Valentines sharing meal and were really disappointed with the quantity on the main. The portion size would’ve been okay for 1 person, not 2 people to share and it was £70 - so was quite expensive. We felt we should’ve raised this at the time. When we looked back on the Facebook page and seen this main advertised - it had far greater quantity on the advert than we got. However, the food was so tasty!

The lodge was fantastic! Great value for money and so clean. The breakfast hamper was so cute.

Lovely room, comfortable and clean, great views. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. There was a problem with the heating in our room but as soon as we mentioned it they brought us heaters, we went for a walk and it was fixed when we got back. Brilliant stay, would highly recommend.

The breakfast could have been better. Tea too strong, coffee poor and the vegy cooked options were limited. Fruit was lovely.

Although we stayed on a week day, we would have liked one of the fires to be lit for the ambience, either in the bar or dining-room. Also, check-in is from 3 pm, but the heating in our bedroom did not come on until the evening.

Beautiful surroundings and lovely views from bedroom and dining-room. Spacious and well appointed bedroom and bathroom, very friendly staff, beautifully decorated castle, very nice food at reasonable prices, good breakfast in lovely setting. Spacious car park.

The bathroom was just a shower and I thought the larger room was supposed to have a jacuzzi bath.

Beautiful room, very clean and tidy and well decorated. The Christmas decorations were spectacular!

Alcohol prices were higher than average.

Everything was perfect - the staff couldn’t have been more helpful or kind. Amazing that a nanny was provided to care for the children during the wedding. The wedding was wonderful, the food provided was the best I’ve had at a wedding. The staff really went above and beyond. Exceeded expectations.

The beds were comfy however you did roll/sink into the middle as it’s two singles together, very minor though as bed was still comfy!

The new lodges are fab! They have thought of everything. Decor was lovely, place was nice and cosy and the bonus of a hot tub!

The room I stayed in had frosted windows to the front and hence there was only a limited view to one side of the property. I accept the fact that I made a late booking, which probably limited the room options.

My stay was very comfortable and the hotel is a lovely place to stay, with a great location.
