How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I didn't like that there were some broken parts in the bathroom and old furniture. You couldn't open much the window, which was a shame because you couldn't get fresh air. Also the bathroom is way too small - the room is a bit small too but that is expected. Sadly, you couldn't control the heating - it was centrally controlled.
Based on the reviews - I expected small room and bathroom - and they were. The bathroom was smaller than expected - it was hard to get out of the shower (I am 166cm so average and was still hard). But the bed was amazing - really comfortable. They also left the first day some teas and coffee and a kettle and the tea bags were replenished daily. It was also cleaned daily. The internet was pretty good and stable. Also you could leave your luggage at the reception free of charge, which was awesome! Staff was pretty friendly. The location is great - you can walk to some central areas or take the bus. Most of the time we had to take the bus because the tube was too far, but it was comfortable transport (unless they move the bus stop without any notification, that happened to us). There are a couple of supermarkets in 10m walking distance.

We had a basement room which I wasn’t keen on but it was actually fine. It’s a bit old and dated but if it’s a bed, shower, quiet room and good location at a good price you are looking for then you get all that. It’s basic but fine and met our needs.
Breakfast was ok, not fab but convenient and staff were very good. Location is great, 7min walk to Victoria Station and theaters was perfect for us. Good price for London and location. I would stay again if on a similar trip. Staff were very nice and helpful.

the single bed room is quite small, and you can hear voice from corridor or neighboring rooms, but I think it's fine for me, it was not super crowded even in Easter

Decor/furniture a bit tatty, and several of the TV channels didn't work. These were minor things that did not spoil my stay.
Ideal location for Tate Britain. Friendly and efficient receptionist. Room clean and reasonably quiet. Excellent shower.

Beds and rooms were small, but in all fairness, living in the USA, we are used to over-sized rooms and everything is big. So, it is certainly not a complaint.

It wasn't really central had a fair walk to where we wanted to go. The bathroom was very small, I don't know how a family would have managed. I had a shower this morning and the water was coming through the shower door onto the floor. The worst issue was whoever was in the room above us were tramping the floor all night and into the early hours. It was like a herd of elephants, don't know how you can walk that much in a room.
My cousin and I booked last minute as we were let down with our other hotel. We booked a family room, it was spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable.

Tiny room. Was clean and had all the usual facilities. Quite noisy as only single glazed window on a busy street. Luckily I had earplugs with me.

Bathrooms were quite tiny but we already knew this from the pictures and other reviews so we didn't mind. Our room was in the basement but there was still windows, so not too bad either
