I had booked a twin bedded room but got a double. No twins were available so we had to have a z bed in the room which made it a bit cramped.

Although everything worked and did what it was supposed to, the decor in the room was a little dated. However, it was clean and perfectly serviceable for what we needed with the all important very powerful shower! This is more or a characteristic of post pandemic hotels rather than a specific criticism, wouldn’t stop me from staying again.

Only a brief overnight stay and we didn’t really make use of the facilities but the lounge area and the bar in the main Manor House looked lovely with a wedding reception going on at the same time. Good parking aswell.

Had to request hand soap for bathroom, as none left by housekeeping and tea bags were not all refilled for second night stay. Guest bed had very thin mattress and was not comfortable at all. Key cards did not work on second night and had to be reset. Felt rushed to order hot breakfast as soon as we sat down, which meant that it was cold by the time we had finished our cereal/toast. This is not to say that we wouldn't return again.

Super king bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. Large spacious room. Lovely breakfast. Good parking. Very friendly reception staff. Great to see oat milk and vegan spread available at breakfast. Lovely to have coffee machine and bar fridge in room.

The room is starting to look a little tired The breakfast arrangements on the Sunday morning could have been better, self service is good but it all felt a little cramped and unsafe to be carrying hot drinks/food past people getting their breakfast, especially when you have plenty of space in the hall to be able to spread the hot and cold selection out, this would cause less of a bottleneck and be safer. The set up is an accident waiting to happen.

The evening meal and breakfast was really good, all the food was presented well, and the service was good for both the evening meal and breakfast on the first morning. The room was comfortable and of a good size.

The hotel is beautiful, but it needs some TLC.

One of the main reason we booked the property was gardens/land and we were unable to access them as was it hadn’t been maintained I.e overgrown , unkept, weeds etc. exterior areas of property tired and in need of some TLC. Breakfast was poorly organised and very chaotic - which made it in unenjoyable. Abit the breakfast itself was fine. Evening restaurant - quite expensive and food was poor. Restaurant itself quite empty

Overpowering air fresheners; really awful. Especially when also present in the dining room. The mattress wasn’t comfortable at all, the hotel in general is quite dated and could do with some TLC. At reception, there were two members of staff working. One was really smiley and friendly and welcoming. The other barely looked at us and didn’t even tell us where our room was. He was also quite short with the other friendly member of staff which was quite uncalled for.

Plenty of parking. Lovely looking house and gardens. Great welcome at reception. Walk to our room was clean but a bit tatty in areas. Our room was excellent. Clean, big soft bed. Amazing shower over the bath, would prefer glass screen rather than curtain.

The toilets had an awful smell even after being cleaned. The heating was poor.

As this is originally a very old building, it's not easy for disabled guests to navigate but everything was done to help my husband access our room. Some of the decor is a bit tired and there was no minibar to keep drinks cold but compared with the wonderful, kind, helpful staff, these were not huge issues.

The staff were friendly, efficient and really went the extra mile to help. My husband couldn't manage the steps so they moved us to a room where we could access via a fire exit. My key card failed, so Selina came dashing down with a new one. The breakfast staff were helpful and brought warm soya milk immediately. All in all, the staff members really were terrific. It's a lovely venue in a beautiful location too.
