There was a queue at reception for check in. Nothing really could be done about it as people from the nearby conference arrived at the same time. Perhaps the lovely receptionist needed someone to help deal with the volume of people.

On arrive the car park was full and we needed to park off site - it would have been nice if as a gesture there was an offer to repay the cost of this. Drinking water should be provided in the room. Electric car point access was impossible as the spaces were taken up by event vans

room was too hot. The breakfast was rather confused as our names were not on list, young female staff went off to speak to supervisor but didn't return. Then the supervisor was there but hadn't been made aware of the issue - so we explained that we had paid for breakfast and we were able to show that we had paid for breakfast via our bank app. He then got distracted by another customer before showing us to a table. It was a bit faulty towers ish.

The walls were thin. Whilst I understand outside main road noise, sleep was mainly disturbed from people walking past my room. Room was by the stairs which explains this.

We arrived for breakfast at 9.30am as paid guests to be told it wasn’t to be served untill 10am and there are other places to eat on high street. We left walked around and returned at 10.18am to be told breakfast almost over so we paid £11 each to discover not much left and minimum selection! We literally had 8 mins to eat up while staff around us were clearing away what was left!

The car park was overcrowded and the room was very noisy due to a party which didn't finish until 12.30am.

The room and the bathroom were beautiful and very well equipped. Check-in was efficient.

Location, fancy place, good parking. A little bit noisy ( bars at the other end of the street) We had problems with another accomodation and booked this one at 12pm. We couldn't book anymore for this hotel (we called) but we could book a room at Booking.com.. At first they said it was a mistake and they didn't have any rooms available, but then I showed my booking confirmation and we could stay. They helped us, because otherwise we would have to sleep in our car.... We felt very uncomfortable, because they were angry (not at us but at booking), but they really helped us out!!!!! Booking.com shouldn't let people book a room at 12pm if it's not possible for the hotel. But we were GREATFUL though!!

We liked the property the only thing that let our stay down was the following morning we went down for breakfast and thought we would be given a menu to choose what we wanted but all we were told was that we could have a full English breakfast but we declined it and went to another restaurant where we could just have a small breakfast.

Our room was really nice thought we would hear a lot of noise as there was a wedding reception at the Cromwell but we didn’t hear anything.

It was very warm in the room, but quiet enough to have the window open. Breakfast staff seemed much more helpful to other guests, maybe I caught them at a bad time, I did have to wait for them.

The room was lovely, ensuite updated, dinner was fab and the dinner team were truly lovely. Breakfast range was vey good, eggs on request. Enough space for one in the single room, full length mirror a bonus.

Breakfast was self service and just warm not hot. An area that could be looked at perhaps.

Clean , comfortable room . Well furnished and styled . Check in flawless and speedy . Very happy to recommend and we will certainly consider this hotel for future stay's.

Hot tap works the wrong way which is quirky and baffled my wife. Toiletries in the shower have tiny illegible writing and are at 4 foot high (when you're in the shower without your glasses). Just details really.

Located at a venue chosen by a client so convenient. Conference facility staff were excellent.
