Nothing as such…. However, we did find the stairs a bit steep and thought the shower (over the bath) was a bit awkward to climb in & out of, which we can imagine would make this property unsuitable for less mobile people like our parents. (I would have loved to recommend this cottage to them, but know they wouldn’t manage) 😕 Other than this, the only thing that would have possibly made the cottage more cosy was a real fire; although we hasten to add this was not necessary as the cottage was lovely and warm with the heating on! (We also appreciate this isn’t something everyone would want or enjoy!)

Loved this beautiful, clean cottage, with its high end finish and details, tucked way in its quiet but central location!!! Brilliant to have tea/coffee/hot chocolate/ filter coffee/ sugar & milk along with biscuits waiting for us, also washing up items, hand & body washes, shampoo & conditioner. Lots of handy condiments etc too. The bed was ultra comfy, and the bedding & towels lovely, clean & fresh. A perfect base for our mini break in the lovely town of Holt, with Byford’s close by for delicious food, plus two pubs, cafes, restaurants & shops all within a couple of mins walk away 😊

Two old fogies managed the very steep staircase, but maybe would have been better to warn us about it beforehand!

Particularly good location and exceptional cleanliness

Some visitors may find it useful to have instructions for the heating. It was uncomfortably cold in the bedroom (13 degrees) when I arrived and the heating water temperature eco setting on the boiler made it ineffective at sufficiently warming the house. Even taking the wireless thermostat upstairs and setting it to 20 degrees it had barely reached 17 degrees after 6 hours during the first night. Turning the boiler temp to 68 degrees the next day achieved the desired result more speedily. Thermostat is best left in bedroom for comfortable night sleep. I appreciate it is not beneficial for either cost nor environmental reasons to have the boiler turned up all the time especially when the property is unoccupied, since I am familiar with this model of boiler I was able to warm the house up but some guests may have difficulty in colder weather without making these adjustments and resetting them to more economic settings on departure.

Recently refurbished and decorated to very high standard. Impeccably clean. The name Cosy Cottage is very fitting. Not wanting for any facilities and I liked the unexpected nice touches of sugar, tea, coffee and hot chocolate being lade available. Excellent location for easy walk to local eateries.

Beautifully clean and fresh, very comfortable bed, perfect location. Cottage was so tranquil, quiet and cosy - true to its name! Holt is a gorgeous place with lots of lovely independent shops, cafes, bakeries etc. The cottage is a 2 min walk from everything yet is tucked away and quiet, just perfect.

Having to get up and dressed early to put a parking ticket on the car! However, the host clearly states that there is no parking at the property and provides information about this and gives options.

Perfectly located in the centre of Holt, a beautiful village. Property was spotless, well equipped and stylish. Small touches that went a long way include finding a pint of milk in the fridge, coffee/tea, chocolate biscuits and plenty of toilet rolls!

No washing machine, which I understand but that was a drawback. Also no baking tray (there was a grill pan).

Lovely cottage. Felt really settled there and didn’t want to leave! The owners brought a step round for the bath on my first day which was very helpful.

Not easy to find - more detailed written directions would help eg lane next to gardens. Steep and awkward staircase. High sided bath.

Having to park away from the property was a bit of a nuisance especially as you have to get back to the car park in Albert Street by 8am in the morning to renew the parking ticket which can only be payed for up until this time - being free from 6pm to 8am and paid for parking only available up until 6pm.

The location is perfect for staying in the centre of Holt. Finding the property was easy and obtaining the keys from the key box simple enough. Thank you for the milk in the fridge to make that all essential cup of tea upon arrival! Lots of thought has been put into making this property attractive.
