Lodge 1 The best part for us was the staff, especially Melanie at breakfast and Kinga from housekeeping who were so friendly during our 3-week stay. They made our difficult situation so much better and are a credit to the Cowdray Estate Beautiful location with wonderful views.. Very comfy bed with lovely crisp linen. Plenty of storage space. Double aspect windows overlooking greenery; lovely thick curtains and blinds Spacious bathroom with powerful shower, big fluffy towels and nice toiletries. Very clean. Includes good choice at breakfast in the Golf Club.

Bar shuts at 7pm and stops food at 5pm which we didnt realise when booked.

it was too hot in the bedroom. we couldn’t turn the radiator off on the first night and it was unbearable.

Glad we paid extra for the suite. it gave us somewhere comfortable to sit. lovely views. great breakfast. great staff

The only downside was that it was very close to the golf club car park and the main road. It was a very wet day so not many golfers luckily.

1 of the shower knobs was broken & the other shower had a caddie falling off the wall so it was alittle inconvenient to have bottles of body wash and shampoo/conditioner in the shower (nothing too severe) however the hot water wasn't working at all in the morning so my family couldn't take showers.

It's in a peaceful part and the staff I spoke to were really lovely. Breakfast was gorgeous, me and my family all had the full English. Decorations and atmosphere of this place was breathtaking and modern with a golf twist. Would go again

The busy road was very near The Bothy, but didn't bother us, as we stayed there in March, but it could be a problem in the warmer weather when windows are open.

The Bothy was tastefully furnished, the bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean and the view was outstanding. The breakfast was also very good.

The shower drained slowly and this lead to a worry about the bathroom floor getting wet. Otherwise it was perfect.

Breakfast was lovely and the staff were very attentive. We have a wonderful stay looking over at the Ruins.

Quite a lot of wood lice in the room and even a couple in the bed. Could hear a mouse/bird/something scuttling in the walls at night. Bath is great but thought there’d be a shower too. Minibar would’ve been good too as clubhouse shuts very early.

Cute room. Lovely bath, comfy bed, great view out the window, nice location. Gave us a later check out when we asked which was appreciated. Decent breakfast. Cowdray farm shop up the road is lovely.

Description states bath and shower .. there is no shower . Just a shower hose in bath. Which will always makes a splash. Very hard if not as aigle as a youngster. Very small room. Bathroom is on a septic tank and is quite whiffy. A very close to a noisy road .

I hadn't realised how close the Lodge was to the road. Traffic noise from 6am disturbed sleep.

We had two rooms my daughter’s room had a terrible smell and we think it was damp, that had just been painted over. The rooms didn’t have dressing tables to do our hair/make up - that is something every woman wants and I thought was a given. I had to do my hair sitting on the floor.

Great views. The staff were kind. Loved the self check in and having the lounge with a tv for comfort after walking.

Our room was faced on to the road that runs past the property so there was a bit of traffic noise. Nothing major as it’s not a main road, but I’m just not used to it!

Our room was lovely and cosy with nice, tasteful decor. We had all we needed and it was nice and toasty warm! We were able to park right outside and had a little walk around part of the estate the following morning. Breakfast was good. Overall very happy.
