We had two rooms. It was a little pricey and the double room was a bit snug although the king size room was a good size.

John, the host, was most helpful and amenable, what a nice guy!. The location was good, only a 10 min walk to the edge of town. It was lovely and quiet, just what you need for a break. Lovely views.

The only small thing I would have liked to see is a slightly larger tv in the room we had (Room 15). It was a large room and, when lying in bed, it was difficult for my elderly mother to see the subtitles as they were so far away! This was not a deal breaker, but simply a possible suggestion for something to consider during any future updates to the room.

More or less ever since thing was exceptional. Breakfast, was freshly cooked according to the pre-order submitted the previous night. The host, John, was on hand at breakfast, chatting to guests and offering information and suggestions of places to eat or visit.

Had a really great mini walking break staying at Craigatin house. Great place to stay, room and breakfast all really good. Would recommend the porridge with whisky for breakfast, id read the other reviews and i can concur it is worth trying. Location is really good and only a short walk into town. Cant wait to go back!

Just a great place to stay for a nice break in Pitlochry. Ideal location just starts to sum up this guest house. Spotless from top to bottom, great host and staff and fab breakfast. Definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

Shower could be a little more powerful

Great location ! Perfect base to explore the area. A stones throw from the centre with it's many bars, restaurants and shops. Accommodation was excellent, lots of character with absolutely everything you need ! Great stay ! The whisky porridge (what can you say ) a must to set you up for the day....Thank you John !

Warm welcome on arrival. Very nice lounge area to relax away from your room. Room was a good size with plenty of space and very good complimentary amenities of various teas, coffee, bottled water and sweet treats. Good sized bathroom with quality toiletries, (nothing set of my allergies). My friend and I slept very well on both nights in comfy beds, with lots of room to stretch out. Lots of car parking space, close to the building, whether in the courtyard rooms or main building. Breakfast was amazing with a great choice of hot and cold food. Good selection of cereals, fruit, yogurt, fruit juice, etc with tea/coffee and hot food cooked to order. We will definitely be back. I can’t praise the establishment and staff enough, this is now my first choice for accommodation in the Pitlochry area and I highly recommend Craigatin House & Courtyard. We couldn’t fault it in any way.

The location was good only 5 min walk into the town. Our room was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for John and Lynne and would recommend it if anyone is planning a visit to Pitlochry.

To start with, John the host was really nice from when we arrived to our departure ,the breakfast was really good you filled in the breakfast list what you wanted the night before which we thought that was a good way, on site parking was good, our room was always warm throughout our stay, the room was also cleaned fresh towels etc each day we where there.

If it really bothers you,we couldn't connect to wifi in our courtyard room,but for us it was not a major issue.

The friendliest of hosts. The most comfortable bed. Great breakfast to set you up for the day. Loved being in our courtyard room with no need to access the main house to get to it. Five minute walk from Pitlochry shops and amenities,including e-charging for our car.

The host was very kind, informative and made us feel very welcome. Our room was lovely and well equipped for our stay with tea/coffee/hairdryer etc. the cooked breakfast was of extremely high quality which we really enjoyed.

We only had the weekend. So much more we would have liked to have seen and done. Hopefully next time.

We really appreciated all the recommendations for dining out and local attractions (walks, whiskey distillery, shops. The porridge with whiskey cream and sugar at breakfast was a big hit for us both. Selection at buffet breakfast and cooked breakfast was fab. Not to mention nothing was too much trouble always asking if they could help with anything else.
