Well located, comfortable and great welcome

We battled with the shower hot water system.

We love the welcome from our charming host, the welcome chocolates on our pillows and the coffee,milk, sugar, spices , bread that the hostess left us. It was very considerate of them.

The accommodation was very comfortable. Beds were comfy and the lodge had all the facilities we needed, including some jigsaws and games that the boys loved! The welcome basket was a lovely touch and the host was very friendly and provided us with some information about travel and tourist spots when we arrived. The bus stop outside the door was very convenient!!

The only thing is the stairs going in could do with a hand rail as they were slippy with the rain.

The lodge was stunning, plenty of space. The location was quiet but close to all main attractions.

Trying to follow the instruction manuals for cooker and hot plate ( because I am Not great at reading instructions! ) maybe a wee step By step instruction sheet would be best

Location was fantastic for buses into city centre. Lorna, our host explained all about the accommodation, provides a welcome pack and gave us great information about which buses to get and the tram. Lovely warm welcome on arrival also.

This flat was lovely - very clean, well furnished - the kitchen was just what we needed, and our delightful host Lorna could not have been more helpful. Very convenient to the bus routes. Four of us were very comfortable here and would definitely stay again.

I can't think of a thing I would change.

We and our adult sons loved this place! We were able to park our car in the driveway and leave it there while we took the bus to explore Edinburgh. We loved this cozy cottage. It was spotless and comfortable. The garden view was lovely. It was so quiet, even though the property is on a busy street with a bus stop across the street. We all slept great!

The only thing I didn't like was that the property was already booked for the second part of our stay in Edinburgh so I had to find another property that didn't even come close...

A warm welcome from Lorna, together with the goodies in the fridge, set the mood for our entire journey, and the place is just as lovely (or more) as it seems in the photos. You can feel that it was made from the heart, not as just yet another rental. Oh, and the whole area is lovely, peaceful, and quiet.

Nothing really. Only thing that could be better is sofa, but that is just a very small thing. Maybe a bit of information on the information sheet where the local shop is.

Met Tam on arrival, very helpful and gave us information about transport into town. Lodge was lovely, everything we needed. Very quiet area and very private.

Super hospitality from the owners, a beautifully clean cottage with great facilities, a thoughtful welcome hamper and easy access to the city of Edinburgh. What more could we want! A perfect place; we would return.

Having a washing machine could be the only item needed. Other than this, nothing else.

The location is perfect with bus stops right outside. The property has all amenities, very cozy and perfect for family stay. he hosts are extremely good. They even waited for me as I reached late around 10:30 pm. Will recommend highly.

The attention to detail and decoration make this feel like home away from home. While exploring Edinburgh we found this so much more pleasant than a travel lodge type hotel in the middle of town. Multiple buses very close by made access to the centre very easy. The owners were very welcoming.

The only thing that would have made this any better would have been a power shower - I'm nit-picking here though, the current shower is perfectly adequate and spacious. Everything else aside from that was perfect.

Lorna left us a package of essentials (bread, milk, OJ, Prosecco, biscuits) for our arrival which was very much appreciated. Bus links to the city were from right outside the lodge which made travelling around extremely easy.
