I prefer a shower head on a hose rather than the fixed shower head provided. Not very important.

What makes this place special, over a chain hotel, is the use of the kitchen.

The only tiny niggle was the broadband speed which seemed inconsistent

The rooms were squeaky clean. The kitchen facilities were handy and nice to have bread for toasting, cereals etc for breakfast. It was quiet at night. There was plenty of room for parking (the owner helped me find the location over the phone as I got a little lost!)

No window except the roof window. No blind during my stay but that was a one off Would have preferred thicker pillows, thicker longer bed cover but that's me.

the shower water was strangely slippery, but the sink water was normal

the room was so pretty, clean and spacious, and the lady of the house was kind. I loved how the room was decorated with beach-life aesthetic.

The only thing that wasn't quite right was that the weather had taken a turn for the worst and it was cold. I had to sleep in a jumper as Sue had just swapped over to lighter summer bedding and taken the blankets to be cleaned. She returned them to the rooms in the morning when guests advised her that they had been cold, so it's not what normally happnes, I'm sure.

Guests have use of a well-appointed kitchenette with a serve yourself breakfast included in the price. There were several cereals, brown and white sliced bread plus fruit loaf, a choice of james, honey and marmite, butter, milk. I liked the way that packaging waste was avoided. You can also avoid having to pay for a restaurant by taking a short walk to the Co-op or a choice of takeaways and reheating / cooking your food in the kitchen and eating it in the guest lounge. The house is beautifully decorated with quality furniture and lovely bathrooms. There is plenty of parking. There were no USB sockets but the bedside radio had wireless charging on the top, which was handy as I'd forgotten my charging block.

Very pleasant stay, visited with our extended family. Our rooms were clean and comfortable! Although this comes as self catering there is milk, juice, cereal, bread and pastries provided at breakfast which is a really nice touch! Thank you, Sue!

I needed a hotel for 1 night on the same day I made the booking, however, due to an issue with the booking the wrong date was sent through. I only found out that the wrong day was selected when I spoke to the hotel. Sue was amazing and helped and changed my booking. Thank you!

I found the mirror in the wardrobe after I’d done my hair, the socket being available away from the mirror on the dresser. The taps on the sink in the bathroom were difficult to use once hands are wet. Small observations, the property is otherwise faultless.

an easy short drive from the harbour. Self serve breakfast provided which included soya milk. comfy bed.

it was a super cold night when I stayed and I found the room a little chilly. There was an abundance of hot water though so a warm bath and dive under the ample duvet compensated.

The whole experience was just terrific. After an emotional week, it provided a wonderful oasis of calm and beauty. I felt very relaxed, safe and warm and cosy. I particularly liked the plastic free and recycling emphasis.
