Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe lounge furniture has seen better days and really needs to be replaced and the main bathroom just needs a lick of paint
The location was really good, right next to the harbour, close to all amenities and has good parking. The property is very spacious and well equipped for a family. It has an excellent shower in the main bathroom and is a very pet friendly property.

location excellent for local services, parking in town lots of double yellow lines that most people ignored. no bottle recycling in village in view of number of rental houses this is surprising and a bit irritating.

United KingdomVery shabby. No mirrors, no heating upstairs, ripped blinds on velux windows stuck with duct tape, settee falling to bits. With very little effort, could by great. Lovely property in need of TLC. Unable to contact property hosts by phone/email/in person at alnwick office so not sure this review will have any effect!

United KingdomIt’s pet friendly but no back yard for the dogs The house was really hot but when we found the thermostat it was fine And could have done with another stair gate as we had a 2 year old and it’s a 3 story property But didn’t ruin our stay Having a sweeping brush and mop would have helped keep the downstairs floors clean

United KingdomWe had no working washing machine, no working hob, the power cut out several times. It was difficult to get through to anyone. We purchased food to cook on the hob, then found it wasn't working. Quite a lot of money, paid up front and nonrefundable but we didn't have important facilities working. A small oven/2 ring cooker was provided, but we couldn't get it working.

United KingdomHole in settee stains on carpet on stairs broken window blinds broken radiator thermostats red stain on pillow and 3 of the duvets had stains broken floor tiles in kitchen, public hairs in down stairs toilet floor and stains on back of toilet lid fitting. Cannot believe that owners have such a beautiful location and the interior a disappointment last but not least settee had it feet taken of so if you have bad back your nearly on the floor an so lumoy and uncomfortable say can accommodate 8 only 6 dining chairs one which was cracked and if there was eight sitting on that settees you'd have to be very friendly.
