It was all great

It was incredibly cosy, despite staying during the wettest, most dreary Christmas I can recall. Once inside, everything is set up to feel at home. We have a young Labrador and she was so happy in the cottage. Also the views are spectacular, beds were comfortable and everything was a clean as a whistle. Thank you and we’ll definitely be back.

There are no words to describe this truly stunning cottage. It was the most relaxing and comfortable place. It had all essentials needed for brewing and even a lovely bottle of prosecco on arrival. It was so clean and had all fresh bedding and towels. Both Charlotte & Julia were incredibly helpful when my wedding car came to collect us. I received a message from Julia the night before the big day to let me know she had spoken with our driver, and she was on hand to help. Just amazing! The sofa bed was a lot easier than expected to pull out and put away, with all bedding included being extremely comfortable. The views from the cottage are outstanding. Overall, it is the most perfectly wonderful place to stay.

Light bulbs should be LED. Oddly for Yorkshire it was hot at night and the bulbs put out some heat. LED bulbs are also better for the planet and you can get them in all sizes now.

It's been perfect from the beginning till end. The location, view, cottage's standard, cleanliness, owner's communication and politeness, everything, absolutely everything on the highest standard. We and our dog felt very welcome.

If you are bringing your dog, keep in mind that there is no fenced outdoor space, so you'll have to keep them on a lead

The cottage is very cosy with loads of indoor and outdoor space, plus parking. There are walks from the doorstep. If you're bringing your pooch, I'd recommend you book the dog park in advance, it's not too be missed!

We found the service excellent throughout. The cottage was lovely , well furnished and it seems everything had been thought of with regards extras and helpful provisions. The cooking facilities and utensils were excellent and I cooked all meals at the cottage no issues. The service from booking, answering our queries and during the stay was exceptional. We would certainly consider going again.

There was nothing that we didn't like during our stay.

The cottage is in a moorland location, in an elevated position giving lovely views across a valley. A short drive from shops, pubs, restaurants and other facilities. The cottage is very well equipped and a lot of thought has been put into giving visitors almost everything they would need. Spotlessly clean, well laid out, with high specification equipment. The very substantial, comfortable cleverly designed sofa bed was a bonus to our 3rd family member who used it. We will definitely be wanting to stay here again at every opportunity.

Everything, the cottage was amazing, clean and very romantic. The bed was comfortable and very clean with good bedding and lovely pillows. Netflix and TV worked. Location was amazing with full access to Peak district national park and a lovely town with cafes bars and a great canal walk. Owners very helpful and quick to reply to questions. 10 out of 10.

I can’t think of anything! This is absolutely not a negative but you do definitely need a car (we actually walked into the nearby villages - so it’s doable but only if you’re up for hilly walks along rural roads - we are so we actually loved this part too!).

Everything! Impeccably decorated and spotlessly clean in a beautiful setting with lovely views. Fantastic, friendly and helpful owners who are full of knowledge about the local area. Perfect spot to have a bbq!
