The lady who we assumed to be the manager, was rude, ignorant and whilst checking out she reprimanded a member off staff in front of us, the issue was not at all related to our stay but it didn't seem to matter. We were stood waiting, just a couple of feet away (and in clear view) whilst she laid into the poor girl. Following which she continued to ignore us and carried on with something on the computer. Extremely unprofessional and embarrassing for all concerned.

Lovely place, great location for what we needed. Very Clean, spacious and comfortable room. The lovely gentleman who checked us in (and served breakfast the following morning) was extremely welcoming and helpful as we're the bar/breakfast staff.

There was a damp patch forming in the far corner on the outside wall opposite the shower, from the outside you can see a leaking drainpipe is causing the issue. Hopefully an easy fix

Needs a little attention to detail. Only 1 mug and 1 biscuit in room for 2 people, and breakfast service very slow, particularly on our first morning-much better second morning and food better too!!

The family room I stayed in is quite close to main road so you could here the lorries and busy road at night and people coming and going from the car park which took me a little while to switch off to and fall asleep. Also I had spotted damp in the corner of room outer wall near bed.

The only gripes I had were no tea, only Coffee in the room . And only one chair in the room one had a chair and the other had to sit on bed we were fighting over the chair that's it tho

The room was amazing it was so clean that I would stay there again, so quiet as well staff are friendly . The room was lovely, and warm beds were comfortable

Lovely location next to River Trent and Historic Swarkestone Causeway. Family room itself was lovely and spacious, well equipped with decent bathroom. Food was good and kindly brought to the room by very helpful Staff. This was a last minute booking due to a plumbing issue at home, so to stay in such a lovely well appointed place was a real pleasure! Ample free parking and a very competitive value for money rate.

Not much not to like. The road is quite busy but with the windows closed any noise is hardly disturbing. It might be different in the summer as there's no air con in the room so with a window open it might be a bit noisier.

The room was very comfortable, with enough space and a clean tidy en suite. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant menu and service was great, though I was there mid-week and it wasn't over busy. There's lots of car parking and two EV charge points.

Breakfast was a little unorganised. Left waiting to he seated, wasn’t offered the continental choices which come with the breakfast we ordered until asked. Overall friendly staff though.

They didn’t come in and make our bed or replenish the tea/coffee. There was no phone to contact reception and the reception downstairs was in the pub and staff were always busy serving the pub.
