Very dated, and the scabby cats wondering about the place.

Stayed in this hotel a couple of times now. The pool is great Very close to amenities and little villages. The hotel is dated but it does everything a hotel is ment to do. My go to place to stay, when visiting the cotswolds.

The bed was awful both uncomfortable and small. Extremely noisy extractor fan. Shower was poor. Had to ask for a hairdryer which they had to search out.

Location. Catering was good. Conservatory has lovely views. Quite a relaxed feel around the place. The views from the bedroom The Spa was very nice and the treatment I had was great

Noise level at nighttime. Kept us awake until 3.30. Absolutely ridiculous. We paid for a superior level bedroom but were right over the conservatory where the music came from. The curtains let in light so we were really unhappy at the disruption to our night’s sleep.

Staff very pleasant and friendly Pool was lovely. Bed comfortable Breakfast delicious

Never been asked to pay the bill on checking in before. Then put £25 charge on my card in the bar later that evening. When I checked out asked me to pay the £30 bar bill and they would credit the £25 charge in 3-5 working days! Bizarre! Also my room was lovely but I was on the ground floor in full view of the carpark and anyone passing by could see in the window as there were no net curtains. Smell of paint from decorating permeated the halls and my room.

    Location. Staff. Food.

Unfortunately room wasn’t particularly clean when we arrived, tennis court although open was in a bit of a state and the gold course was closed. Be aware that children aren’t meant to be in the pool 12-5pm (which came as a surprise to us) although if it’s empty they are fairly relaxed about letting our 6 year old in.

Nice pool and small but well kept sauna and steam room. Good breakfast and staff at reception were absolutely lovely.

Had to ask for bread for toast and second attempt got our coffee. Breakfast service time had not finished and a male team member had finished his shift way before time chatting to another. Thanks to a lady got both. Carpet in room seen better parties.

Pool ,spar and late night use. Clean updated, pool temp good. Steam and sauna fantastic no fancy smells ( juniper etc). Quite location and scenic views Simon late receptionist was fantastic, informative, polite and sympathetic to requirement. The room was large and bed super comfortable, fresh and clean, In fact in past 3 hotels visited in past few days it was exceptionally good. Since last visit have made lots of improvement.

Rooms are slightly dated could do with refurbishment but this didn’t bother us as we were out most of the time.

It’s a “Spa hotel” don’t expect gown or slippers in your room , asked hotel staff at reception and was told you need to book spa treatments to get a bath robe and sleepers. When I was surprised, receptionist told me that I probably never been in spa hotel before so I don’t know how it’s works . Unfortunately because of this i dint try spa facilities as I was traveling for work and packed light so couldn’t go to spa in my suit and heels . Very disappointing. Cleanliness another point I would like to make - it’s was a lot of cobwebs above my table in restaurant ( corner table in conservatory area ) . Bed was uncomfortable and bathroom had two tabs ( one with boiling one with freezing water ) . Room was cold and no switches to make it warmer.

Generally speaking property was ok for the price , reception and bar area done nicely . Restraunts staff are helpful and friendly. Cute cat in reception.

A couple of small things in the restaurant eg no mustard available with beef we found strange and the complimentary prosecco was a small bottle rather than a glass of good quality prosecco chilled.

Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable Enjoyed the tea and biscuits . The bar and restaurant provided good hearty food. As a family party we enjoyed the opportunity to sit in the lounge and spread our family photos. Pool is lovely. It is a beautiful setting but further than i realised from M4

The restaurant staff were not good, and one lady serving was wearing jeans, jumper and boots, thought she was the gardener. Then they added an extra £18 service charge on our bill, That was was dreadful, the service was slow and unprofessional, we were charged extra for poor service. The bedroom was cold even with the heating up full we were both cold during the night. Room 25 needs nets on the window, the room is right next to the side entrance, and with the heavy curtains open everyone looks in to the room whilst using this door. Didn't realise this until the first morning, until we were both sitting up in bed having our cup of tea, and people going in for breakfast from the external rooms were watching us as they went by. We had to keep the heaving drapes closed all the time, even to get dressed. I think the reason for the cold room is the draught coming in around the window, especially the window that opens, we could feel cold air coming In to the room as soon as you pulled back the heavy curtains.

The reception staff were really good, made you feel welcome the moment you walked through the door. The place was lovely and clean, and so was the room. Food was good, but expensive for what it was.
