Unfortunately we have a bath with a broken plug and could not lift up had to call reception to help empty the bath so after my partner I could have one, which meant we could not use the shower in the morning as we didn’t want to ask reception to come back and empty it again for us which put a damper on the hotel room.

We loved the surroundings and the use of the spa and the lovely staff Georgia the waitress was very accommodating, definitely recommend her to have a promotion! Smiling and always wanted to help. Staff at the front desk where also friendly and smiling!

Mattress not the best for us. Left the main radiator on 2 but found it on 4/5 when we returned to the room in the evening, it was much too hot for us. When booking in we had to answer unprepared questions, what time did we want breakfast and what time did my wife want to swim (before breakfast). The pool was small and the breakfast was cooked to order, which may have been the reason for these questions.

Good breakfast cooked to order although some common elements not on the menu - hash browns, beans, black pudding, fried bread. But other options not usually on self-service menus, like Eggs Benedict. Pool facilities, water temperature and amount of gym apparatus are good. Towels provided for pool.

Our room in the courtyard area had a musty smell. The beds were small and the windows had old style catches that did not appear secure.

The main house has a nice relaxing atmosphere and the staff are excellent.

Was a little cold in the room at night - would’ve been good to have the heating on. Breakfast service was a little slow - had to go find a server a couple of times.

Very helpful staff on site (Simon on reception), comfortable room, well equipped fitness centre, good breakfast, ample (free) parking, beautiful countryside location.

The room was dated and this was a superior courtyard room without a view onto the courtyard. The carpet had several stains on it. The toilet flush was poor.

The room was clean and comfortable. The Breakfast was delicious and the pool/steam room and sauna were very good.

Pricey menu. I paid thirty pounds for a small main course. The restaurant was in a pleasant conservatory, but was rather cold. The bedroom was also chilly. It was only September, but a little heating would have been nice.

Nice setting; just outside the town. I liked the bar area in the conservatory. The room was dated, but felt homely.

The underside of the bed hadn't been cleaned in a while. Accidentally moved the bed which was on wheels and there was a thick layer of dust under it which triggered my hayfever.

Great place to relax with excellent views. Pool is small but very enjoyable. Sauna + Steam Room excellent also. Enjoyed the breakfast very much.

We booked a Courtyard view which was uncomfortable outdated had a view of the tarmac car park and a very outdated bathroom with hot water that made a loud noise when used the bathroom had a bad smell room 12. We requested a room change which we received and we moved to the main building room 34 which was a vast improvement and very comfortable.

We chose this hotel for the large grounds and expectation of lovely views, this region is beautiful, and quiet. We had a good meal in the restaurant. There were some very comfortable sitting areas with lovely outlooks.

While staying there, I only had one issue. The room next to mine everyday and evening had the telly on very, very loud which was impacting me in my own room. By the Wednesday (13th), I had raised this with reception and they were very kind and professional dealing with the matter and advised that they would speak with the other party. However, the issue had not been resolved and continued to be an issue until the end of my stay.

Breakfast was good, cooked for was made to order, so fresh. Staff pleasant and friendly. It had the necessary facilities for what I wanted. The location was lovely, tucked away and quiet in the countryside.

Our room in the Courtyard didn't match the pictures advertised, our room was clean apart from stains on the carpet, our bathroom was something from the 70's, sage green and the toilet seat didn't even match!! The wallpaper was peeling off the walls, and the windows condensated. The pictures on booking.com of our room we feel were falsely advertised. The bed was just about sleepable. Our last night, we became adjusted to it,

The location was beautiful with beautiful views, and the staff were lovely and willing to help. Most of them were young and were definitely working hard to keep everyone happy. The pool, sauna, and steam room were lovely. The food was good, the evening meal choice was limited, but the chef did cook an omelette for my partner for breakfast, which wasn't on the menu,

Hotel was advertised as having a running golf course which is completely wrong as it was not in use, it was completely overgrown and obviously had been in overgrown condition for a very long time, also the dinner menu was very limited choice and quite expensive ,

The hotel is in need of a little modernising, for example our bedroom and ensuite. Unfortunately on the Sunday they were very low on breakfast provisions, running out of wholemeal and GF bread, as well as low on fruit and juices. The staff were really under pressure, although they were polite and friendly.

The location for the hotel is great, set within the countryside and the bar, restaurant and terrace have lovely views out over fields. There are walks and a pleasant village of Cricklade on the doorstep.
