How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Had to park on street away from property, but it was only a few minutes walk back to property. So more of an inconvenience than anything else.
Very central and comfortable accommodation. Hosts were lovely and very helpful

No issues apart from the weather.
Perfect location just off the main street. Early access on a miserable day was a big plus and everything we needed was available.

Nothing we didn't like.
Loved everything about our stay at Crieff Armoury. Spotlessly clean, had more than enough facilities, cutlery, coffee, towels etc. Used the firestick for Netflix. Great surround sound, and comfortable beds. Very central, and plenty suggestions of where to go and what to see around the town.

The Armoury was immaculately presented for us arriving and the apartment was perfect for our family weekend away, thanks guys. The facilities within the apartment are great, from the multi-room audio system to the high-tech lighting, it had everything we needed and more. The Armoury is also in a great location to explore Crieff, with a supermarket round the corner and several restaurants within a 5 minute walk.

The main thing we didn't like was the parking. We were made aware of this before our arrival. Parking round about the house is free, but we found it tricky to find space down on Burrell St and did feel a little uneasy leaving our car so out of sight from the house. Neighbours above do have dogs, and as dog lovers this didn't bother us too much but something to bear in mind if you don't like barking.
Lovely lower apartment in town Centre of Crieff. Comfortable and cosy, and an ideal base for exploring the town. Everything thought of for our stay, well equipped kitchen, and loved being able to adapt the bed layout before our arrival. Plenty of space too which when traveling with a teenager is a must. Also liked the home entertainment system, although did take a bit of getting a hang on the lighting, we had a bit of disco working it out. Hosts were excellent, very good communication before and during and after our stay.

Excellent facilities and very comfortable and relaxing. Excellent location as well. Having the option for 2 single beds/extra large king-size is a very good option, and is a nice touch! Very easy to get into the building with instructions given in plenty of time, and it was great to get personal preferences from the owner for restaurants etc. Would highly recommend.

Instructions on how to use the washer / dryer would have been helpful as the machine didn’t tell you how long the cycle would go for and seemed to go on for hours.
Very comfortable and warm apartment. Well located close to the shops in a very quiet street. Fabulous large TV with satellite channels was also great. I also appreciate the coffee machine with a good supply of coffee pods which were very nice.

Fabulous, very responsive host 😊 Lovely bright, open space. Very well decorated. Homely feel. Wonderful for us as we had little toddler and grandparents with us. Didn't feel crowded at all. Great location too.

Not the host fault but parking was a bit hit and miss but we managed and it would not put us off coming again .
It was superbly equipped, spotlessly clean . Was surprised by all the facilities inside. It was spacious comfortable and equipped with games and books . It was way above what we expected . Would recommend to anyone and will book Again definitely .

it did not have a garden for views from any of the windows and was overlooked by the drill Hall, so one could not keep the blinds open
