How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nothing was in a great location by the airport.
The amenities were far beyond expectations. A washer, microwave, ac, heater, coffee, milk, cereal, and more.

Only intended for one night, so fine. For longer stays would prefer to have a lounge

The flat was in a great location to walk to gatwick international and was clean cosy and very well stocked with creature comforts. Really an "above and beyond" accommodation

Immaculately clean with modern facilities in a very compact area which works well. Little extras like breakfast provisions and a map to walk to the airport were very appreciated. Communication was great.

Only that I couldn't find how to walk there from airport, got a taxi. Instructions in apartment really clear how to walk back to terminal from there. Would help online to give a few hints on walking there in first place. Else all great.
Attractive clean room with unexpected extras like washing powder for machine, plenty tea/coffee facilities. 15 mins walk to airport. Entry instructions clear. Very good value for location.

Any apartment with this attention to detail and luxury feel MUST have a power shower and it was very disappointing not to have one when every other aspect of detail had been carefully considered for this property to make it feel luxury and modern. Also the towels were rubbish- again if you issue nice big comfy towels it creates a better feel.
Hard to fault it. Spacious luxury comfort a fully contained one bedroom apartment with beautiful decor lovely big bathroom and bedroom wall mounted smart tv. One of the best places Ive seen.

I would have liked to have a choice of pillows as I like a soft pillow
Very comfortable and very clean. Bright modern furnishings. Cereal in the cupboard and fresh milk in the fridge, lovely touch. There is a microwave but no oven.

It was the perfect size for what I needed. All of the sheets and towels were crisp and clean and the place had everything I needed for my overnight before my early flight the following day. Walking distance to the airport might be the best feature.

Absolutely spot on. Had an early flight the following day and the communication was great. Everything you need is on hand, breakfast cereal, milk, toast, butter and jams. Clean, modern, everything you need for a great stay close to airport. Local taxi numbers and maps all to hand.

It was spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, double glazing, very clear check in instructions and excellent communication. There was a selection of teas, coffees and cereal in the kitchen and a bottle of milk in the fridge .

There was a couple who probably was renting above our unit. They were moving around from 4 am till 7 am ( until they checked out) that caused disturbance, something that isn't in anyone's control. That being said, they were quite enough, but the walking and dragging around of suitcase above was hard to ignore. Being a light sleeper, it did not help me. This isn't reflective on the host or the unit I rented in any way.
I had arrived early, and the check-in wasn't till 3 pm. The host was very kind enough to accommodate me at 13h30. This was a huge favour extended that was very much appreciated. Thank you so much!

Nothing excellent accomodation
Quality property in good location, small shop near by. Plecently surprised to find breakfast cereals, milk and bread in cupboard. Easy to find and park, key available in coded lock
