Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSecluded by trees you can’t see the properties from the roadside. Easy access even though we were staying at Number 90. No noise very quiet which was great. Very comfortable and clean property, spacious living and dining area with a small kitchen but plenty of room to cook. Bathroom was sizeable and bedroom was very comfortable with big King size bed and TV in bedroom as well as living room. Use of the facilities was great, indoor pool, Sauna, Steam room and Jacuzzi.

United KingdomThe villas where we were are a little public, you feel like you are looking into other villas and they into yours. Its not a big deal but might be for some people
The Villa was really well appointed, spotless and wonderfully quiet. We were upgraded at check in which was great. Communication from staff throughout the stay was outstanding.

United KingdomWe loved this place, so it feels very picky to mention any issue! If anything, the energy saving bulb in the bathroom was a bit dingy so we just switched on the above mirror light too. I'm sure they'll replace it with a brighter energy saver when the time comes. We found it a bit tricky to find the gate to the clifftop walk in the car-park. It could benefit from being signposted in some way. (For anyone looking to visit the property, the 'gate' is a gap in the fence almost directly opposite the Lookout.)
We were totally blown away with the resort. All members of staff were friendly and welcoming; from our initial phone call with Sarah once the booking was made, to our final farewell when we waved off with the words, 'Hope to see you again soon'. The location is good. It is alongside the lighthouse overlooking Cromer, and there are various footpaths leading from the property either through woodland or alongside the clifftop through gorse and bluebells. To walk to Cromer takes about 15-20 minutes. Be aware that it is quite hilly in parts, particularly on the way back uphill. The room was absolutely spotlessly clean. The grounds were beautifully kept. Attention to detail was impeccable. We also loved the green credentials; from the insect hotel, the above-and beyond-recycling (including an offer to bring your plastic bottle lids from home), Ecover dishwasher tabs, and the non-bleached loo rolls, kitchen towels and tissues. The restaurant serves really tasty food at reasonable prices and the staff were lovely and remembered the regulars as well as asking us newbies how our day had been. The bar had an interesting selection of drinks; not just your standard beers but more unusual ones too. And there was a good selection of wines, curated by a company which explained its green credentials and charitable contributions on the back of the wine list. We loved the swimming pool with its steam room, sauna and spa pool to the side - it really helped to add to the relaxation of the stay. We visited off season and the pool complex was quiet during the daytime. Such a relaxing stay. We loved it. We hope to be back.

United KingdomThe sofa in lodge 16 was a sofa bed and is probably the most uncomfortable sofa I've ever sat on. It was like sitting on a park bench.
Cromer Country Ckub is in a brilliant location being close to Town, the beach and access roads to Sherringham. Added bonus it's next door to the golf club. As a self catering facility the lodges offer a home from home experience.

United KingdomParking can be tight and a little awkward. (Just an observation, not a criticism.) There wasn’t anything to criticise.
This was our third visit and stop at this resort. We chose this resort for location, friendliness, proximity to amenities and facilities both onsite and in nearby Cromer, which we both love. We shall return for a fourth visit soon. We both love the chalet accommodation that suits us both. The chalet, was warm and clean, the bed was very comfy. Plenty of space for two adults to share, no problem. The on-site restaurant, service and the pleasantness of the staff.
