A quaint period cottage well located for walking, close to a pub/hotel and a little seafood bistro.

    • Three-Bedroom Cottage
    • Stayed 3 nights

The ensuite wet room tended to leak onto the bedroom carpet as there was no water bar to stop it. The access drive is very tight which made turning a vehicle (unless extremely small) or reversing down onto the road quite challenging.

A nice little period property well located for hotel/pub and little bistro. A bonus was two twin rooms in addition to a double specially appreciated for accommodating a group of friends.

Nothing really, we were aware about the steep incline and the drive so were prepared. Left cars at bay over the road one night(perfectly safe) and at the bottom of the drive the next

The view from the window was amazing. Rooms were spacious and beds were very comfortable.

The narrow steps to the garden could do with a hand rail. Not a criticism at all just an observation

The property was very clean and nicely presented with a lot of character

A few things could be modernised to make the stay more comfortable. The beds and linen are all pretty low spec. and tatty and could do with updating. The beds were very uncomfortable and I would expect a comfy bed at that price. The cottage was not that clean on our arrival (eg lots of dust and cobwebs in corners!). There was an overflowing pot of water catching a leak under the kitchen sink. There was very limited kindling for the fire. It would be helpful if customers could be given some warning about narrow driveway. It would be impossible to turn a larger vehicle at the top.

Beautiful and cosy cottage. Superb location. On a glorious part of the east coast of Arran. Close to both Corrie and Sannox which are lovely villages.

Booked 3 bed cottage for 5 adults. Only 2 beds were made up as bedrooms, set up as twin rooms. The third bedroom was set up as a kids gaming room with a small bed settee to be made up as a bed. Which didn’t pull out and was too small to be used as a bed in situ. There was a quilt but no cover, no pillows and no towels. 80 year old guest ended up sleeping on settee in lounge….. should be advertised as 2 bed.

Location. Kitchen fully equipped. Cosy cottage.

Great cottage which was ideal for our short stay on Arran. Plenty of room, nice and clean and the kitchen had everything needed for us to self-cater. Being pet friendly was very helpful for us as well.

I found the stairs unmanageable due to their steepness and my osteoarthritis in both knees but the twin room down stairs was a relief. The cottage does have quite a number of scented items that can cause issues/migraines for those sensitive to these things but opening windows and doors helped overcome this.

Property was a good size and had everything we needed. Could easily accommodate 2 adults and 2 16/17 year olds. Lovely area and great views even on a damp weekend. Perfect location for exploring Arran.

I personally didn’t like the foam mattress on my bed as I have a bad back so it was far too soft for me but my son & mum said they were fine with them and had a good sleep.

Lovely & cosy cottage with great facilities included & great location. Really enjoyed sitting with our tea looking out towards the sea! Alan was always quick to respond to any questions which was great.

the lower bedroom twin beds were terribly uncomfortable with hard springs sticking right into you, and the shower in that room was a bit awkward (the other shower/bathroom was excellent) — since we came in December, there was nothing available to do within walking distance except the Corrie Hotel, and there wasn’t a car available for rent on the island after we arrived, so we were a bit limited in what we could do—no one mentioned to us that the place would be essentially shut down during our stay, and websites did not make that obvious either ….

very well stocked, loads of charm and interesting features, nicely tucked back from the road, very close to the Corrie Hotel for food, drinks, and friendly people

The only thing I could pick fault with is the stairs, they are very narrow and my son slipped down them during the night, however this was stated in the description and in the guest folder so I was aware of the stairs prior to booking and is in no way a reflection of the host because everything else was great, I would definitely stay again, the island is just breathtaking.

Very cosy, beautiful garden and the kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need, also the little extra like the coffee/tea/biscuits was a nice touch. The bottle of wine from the hosts was a lovely gesture too, thank you. The board games, dvds and PS3 was a great addition too. Overall great stay.
